Today, Arkyn welcomes Josh Waddell as our new Chief Executive Officer, North America. Waddell, a longtime SAP executive with deep experience in mobile product engineering, sales, and ecosystem operations for enterprise customers, will be leading the future growth and strategy for Arkyn’s best-in-class solutions for asset maintenance operations in the US.   “Arkyn is uniquely positioned to lead the industry in on-device innovation,” says Waddell.  “We look forward to bringing the benefit of natively developed solutions to customers in the US market - helping employees to do their jobs better, faster, and safer. I’ve followed the success of the Arkyn team for years, and I am excited to accelerate the next phase of the company’s growth”, adds Waddell. Trifork and its subsidiary Nine A/S have been selected as one of six suppliers for a new, comprehensive IT development framework agreement with The IT and Development Agency of the Danish Ministry of Taxation (Udviklings- og Forenklingsstyrelsen, also known as UFST). The agreement spans four years and has a total financial framework of up to 3.27 billion DKK (~440 million EUR) and covers a wide range of development and modernization tasks that will be crucial for the further development of UFST's extensive application portfolio. "We are extremely pleased to continue and expand the strong collaboration we have had with UFST since 2015, when we delivered our first service. The new agreement allows us to take responsibility for both small and large development tasks as well as the ongoing further development and modernization of UFST's applications, which are central to the Danish welfare model," says Jacob Strange, founder and CEO of Nine. In addition to drawing on the competencies of other companies within the Trifork Group, strategic partnerships have been established with both emagine and Copenhagen Data, ensuring that high-quality services can be delivered to meet UFST's extensive needs. Nine has extensive experience in delivering solutions to UFST, including involvement in the development of a data exchange platform, an accounting guide for citizens, businesses, and the EU, as well as a calculation engine for property taxes in Denmark.

Reducing baggage delays with Vision AI Together with Copenhagen Airports A/S we have developed a solution which makes it significantly easier to track and identify lost luggage using machine learning. Thousands of luggage are lost every day at airports around the world, but CPH Airport was out to find a more cost-& time-efficient way of optimizing their current baggage tracking infrastructure, thereby also ensuring a smoother journey for their passengers. The baggage is marked by Artificial Intelligence with rectangular boxes. Four AI models are involved in registering and identifying unique bags as either hard- or soft bags. This model helps fully identify where a bag is lost, and allows for faster reidentification and the bag arriving faster in the hands of the passenger than it would have otherwise.
