History

Castelfidardo was built in France and had a complete armour with spur of 3 meters at the bow and stern with falling curve. The armour stretched the entire length of the ship and 1.5 m. below the waterline and 2 meters above. Differed by Queen Maria Pia in displacement, equipping and in the number of boilers. He remained in service for over 40 years and participated in the Battle of Lissa then in service in the territorial and colonial waters and finally used as a training torpedo ship.
