English: The Forestator, is a new method oriented on afforestation and reforestation, with ornamental applications (crop, decoration, landscaping, etc.). Forestar (to afforestate) means to populate a field with plants and that’s the basic idea: to create a “mantle or layer” in order to recover land and its ecosystem, creating a new habitat. This method is based on a compound of cellulosic material (paper and / or cardboard), which allows to be amended to suit the area to be treated, thereby facilitating placement. The seeds used are based on the plant habitat of the area being treated. The Forestator is presented in two different formats : one is the type called “bark” and the other is the type “plant“. The type crust compound format is mixed with seeds and exposed irregularly dry, hence the name of bark, because of its resemblance to the bark of trees. The crusts are distributed in the treatment area or scattered by air or manually. Because the seeds are mixed within the compound, they are protected from rodents and insects, thus obtaining a higher survival rate. This format can be used to combat erosion. The plant type format is based on a process by which the seeds already germinate within the compound in a controlled environment, then proceeds to place it in the area to be treated, whatever the terrain. Because of its composition, the plants once in place are growing and mixed with the soil environment. The compound is biodegradable. This format is recommended to be used where the first signs of erosion appear.
