French artist (and politician) fr:Robert Fuzier died in 1982, so these drawings from the 1930s are all still protected by copyright in both France and the US, and the files should be deleted. They can be restored in 2053.

No. That something comes from a BNF scan does not mean that it is in the public domain. For these journals and newspapers, the BNF says "Droits  : Consultable en ligne", rights: can be viewed online. Not "in the public domain". Likewise, {{PD-GallicaScan}} does not mean that everything scanned for Gallica is automatically in the public domain. Like the general {{PD-scan}} template, it only means that the scan as such does not create any additional rights. --Rosenzweig τ 09:48, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
