Images of Vero83alvarez

[edit]

Very doubtful own work claims from Vero83alvarez (talk · contribs). Many have already been deleted. Remaining contributions include a wide array of cameras and styles. Canon PowerShot A400, Panasonic DMC-FZ8, SONY DSC-W50, Canon EOS Digital Rebel, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, Panasonic DMC-FX10, Samsung Digimax... High-res buildings, low-res landscapes, very low-res figurines and artwork, people in blurry candids, people in posed black-and-white, new photos, very old black-and-white, obvious derivatives including magazine scans with no source, EXIF, no EXIF, camera time showing in three - and only three - images...  Delete Delete all except #31 File:Cabichui.jpg & #34 File:Cabichipy.JPG (scans of historical 1860/1870 picture)(tagged by me with {{PD-old}}, in use in Wikipedia articles). All pictures might eventually be kept if the uploader provides a convincing explanation why he uses so many different cameras. Teofilo (talk) 09:27, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a source for those two? Wknight94 talk 12:02, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, some people inserted the pictures in Wikipedia articles, and I suppose that they knew what they were doing. File:Cabichui.jpg seems to be similar with cabichui_1.gif available at on this University of Mainz website and if so, it means that it is the first issue of that newspaper, dated (13-05-1867) . Teofilo (talk) 19:38, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, for Cabichui.jpg, the file you found is higher-res. We should replace the JPG one here with that one. Wknight94 talk 21:37, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
From some evidence (wrote this already here) I have reason to assume that files taken with Canon PowerShot A400 and a DSC-W50 are likely own work but maybe downscaled from bad image editing. This includes e.g. the last 4 images in the list. So keep that, delete all files from the other cameras or scanned images of unknown source or files without exif. On the other hand the exclusion of this two cameras not includes files like File:Yhupy.jpg, File:Repatriacion.jpg or File:Loma grande2.jpg (obvious) and File:Jose martinez.jpg (less obvious) or File:Coloniaindependencia.jpg (not obvious, but too much doubt). This are examples, its not a complete listing. --Martin H. (talk) 13:24, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

 Question Did I correctly understand your comment, Martin H.?      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 12:22, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My guess would be you did the opposite. I think Martin wanted to keep Canon PowerShot A400 and a DSC-W50 except for File:Repatriacion.jpg, etc. File:Repatriacion.jpg, etc., appear to be derivative works where the uploader used those cameras to take pictures of magazines or books. But I would wait to hear from Martin himself to be sure. Wknight94 talk 12:30, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I thought he was fairly clear: "the exclusion (from deletion) of this two cameras (does) not include..." & I agree with his assesment--DieBuche (talk) 09:35, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment (added to closed deletion discussion) Missed that comment by James: I think it was much more than just this 4 taken with the mentioned cameras (e.g. 20% of all). But some of them was photos of books. I checked only a few and just gave examples, not a full list. Now that they are deleted I will not donwload them to check for the camera data. --Martin H. (talk) 12:59, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mostly Deleted. File:Cabichui.jpg was replaced by File:Cabichui 1.png; Four images kept per discussion & one since it it is PD-old (File:Cabichipy.JPG) DieBuche (talk) 09:51, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
