Ivan Kuznetsov

[edit]

These are images of architecturial works of en:Ivan Sergeyevich Kuznetsov, who died in 1942. There is no FOP in Russia ([1]), and Russian law is applied retroactively to Soviet works ([2]). Should be Category "Undelete in 2013" --Fernrohr (talk) 20:08, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep until such time as the nominator is able to indicate what year each building was built. 9 Povarskaya Street was built in 1910, and is therefore {{PD-Rus-Empire}}. To quote from that, The Russian Federation (early RSFSR, Soviet Russia) is the historical heir but not legal successor of the Russian Empire.[1][2] The Russian Empire wasn't a participant in international copyright agreements, so this work is not protected by copyright internationally. --russavia (talk) 03:48, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
From en:Ivan Sergeyevich Kuznetsov, all of the above were built pre-1917, so therefore ALL of them are PD-RusEmpire. Speedy keep the entire lot. --russavia (talk) 03:53, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • All of these buildings were built pre-1917. So all of them are PD-Rus-Empire, and the images of them are OK. Keep and warn the nominator to avoid wasting our time in the future. Dimawik (talk) 06:11, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep: Red Church in Vichuga was built in 1911, Delovoy Dvor - in 1913, Building at Povarskaya Street 9 was reconstructed by Kuznetsov in 1892, Savvinskoye Podvorie was built in 1907. So - it's PDRusEmpire Rubin16 (talk) 08:10, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the pre-1917 dates, and withdraw my nomination. Sorry guys. --Fernrohr (talk) 15:53, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedily kept as we have consensus that {{PD-Rus-Empire}} applies. Fernrohr was already so kind to remove the {{Delete}} tags from the individual files. --AFBorchert (talk) 17:14, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
