Save the Brains is back this weekend for rare brain tumor research fundraising
Save the Brains is back this year! When a young boy learned of his father's rare diagnosis with no known cure, he knew he had to make a difference. In creating a pick-up style, all-levels friendly hockey tournament fundraiser, Sam Kieffer has been able to raise tens of thousands of dollars towards research for Epidermoid Brain Tumors, which have greatly affected his father, Kenny, and the rest of the Kieffer family, along with thousands around the world. Read more about Epidermoid Brain Tumors, the international society providing support and reasearch funding, the Kieffer family, and last year's Save the Brains event here. This year, on Sunday July 21, the Save the Brains event will be taking place at the Alpha Ice Complex in Pittsburgh, complete with multiple hockey games, raffles, food, and more. Admission to watch and participate is completely free! If you'd like to play alongside the inspirational Sam and his father Kenny, with any age or experience level, sign up here.
