Description: Greedo
Prefix: BH
Detachment: Bounty Hunters Guild
Context: Star Wars: A New Hope
A Rodian Bounty Hunter who worked for Jabba the Hutt, Greedo was looking to cash in on the bounty Jabba placed on Han Solo’s head.

For 501st membership, only the requirements in black need to be met.

The Bounty Hunters’ Guild defines an additional optional level of costuming excellence. In the page below, requirements for Level 2, referred to as “Infamous”, are listed in blue. These optional requirements are meant for those who strive to meet the highest level of screen accuracy. Please visit the BHG web site for a full description of these standards.

This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type.

  • This document is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum.
  • GMLs uncertain about an aspect of submitted costume shall post questions in the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the Legion forum.
  • Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval.
  • Requirements for all 501st costumes are proportional to the wearer in scale, fit and size.
  • Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume.

Cog.jpg General Construction Notes
  • All components should closely match the ANH Greedo Color Palette.
  • Color palette is intended for reference in building, and will only be used in exacting measurement by Detachment for Infamous Level approval. A Basic level approval is only required to be similar, not exact.
  • Latex or silicone items are to be of high quality and match in color and texture.
  • All weathering is to closely match visual references.

ANHGreedo Mask.png Head (Mask)
  • Head shape and details are of the Hero mask worn by Paul Blake.
  • The entire Mask is green, similar to PMS 3285-C, with the exception of the eyes which are dark blue/purple, similar to PMS 276-C.
    • Mask is made of latex, silicone, or other similar material.
  • Eyes are spherical and fully conceal the costumer’s eyes.
  • A mane/mohawk extends from the top of the head, just behind the tentacles, to the collar in the back.
  • The ‘hairs’ should be between 1.5" to 2" (4 cm – 5 cm) tall, but not taller than the tentacles.
  • Paint on the head matches the paint scheme on the hands.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Eyes have a visible bug-eye type honeycomb effect, behind the half spheres.
  • Eyelids can be seen at the top of the eye spheres.
  • Mohawk ‘hairs’ taper slightly in the front.

ANHGreedo Hands.png Hands
  • Hands are the same color as the head, similar to PMS 3285-C and made of latex, silicone, or other similar material.
  • The hands have elongated fingers, extending roughly 9" to 10" (22 cm – 25 cm).
  • Each hand has five skinny fingers with suction cup tips and no visible knuckles.
  • The wrist section completely covers the costumer’s hand and tucks into the sleeve.

  • The suit zips up the back and the zipper should be hidden from view under the vest.
  • A double seam runs from the crotch up to the collar in the middle of the suit.
  • Racing stripes start at the collar and extend down each arm, to the wrists.

  • Each yellow stripe has pleats that are approximately 1" (2.5 cm) tall with no gaps in between:
    • Sleeve stripes are approximately 4 – 5" (10 cm – 13 cm) wide, or approximately half the circumference of the sleeves at the wrist.
    • Leg stripes are a bit wider than the arms, but slightly less than half the circumference of the leg at the ankle.
  • The suit has a slight puffy appearance, including the racing stripes, giving it a quilted look.
    • Sleeves are slightly thicker looking than the body of the suit, similar to the look of the collar.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
