Context: Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017)

The Wolfpack, also known as the Wolf Pack Battalion, was a clone trooper squad in the Grand Army of the Republic’s 104th Battalion that was led by Jedi General Plo Koon. The “Heavy” trooper was a trooper outfitted with some special accessories and commonly utilized a DC-15LE or Z-6 rotary cannon.


Please note that this costume is also eligible for membership in The Rebel Legion, although adjustments may need to be made for RL approval.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met.

In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume.


This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type.


  • This document is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum.
  • GMLs uncertain about an aspect of submitted costume shall post questions in the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the Legion forum.
  • Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval.
  • Requirements for all 501st costumes are proportional to the wearer in scale, fit and size.
  • Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume.


Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below.


104Heavy Helmet.jpg Helmet
  • Phase II helmet.
    • Note: This helmet differs from a realistic style ROTS Cody helmet.
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white with gray details.
  • Dome of helmet features mohawk.
  • There are two additional gray mohawks adjacent to the center mohawk, on either side.
    • The additional mohawks extend below the front and rear edges of the center fin.
  • A gray stripe goes around the bottom of the dome, adjacent to the brow line. This stripe breaks in the front center for the 104th wolf face design.
    • Wolf face design is painted gray.
  • Light gray band goes around back of helmet above the brow line.
  • Black brow line goes around helmet.
  • There is a visor mounted to the brow above the eye lens.
    • Visor wraps around the helmet, past the ears.
    • Visor connects to the cheeks via two connection clips.
  • Black eye lens.
  • The space between the visor and the brow line is painted gray.
  • A gray section goes around the vertical visor section, starting wide and condensing towards the center “tooth.”
  • The light gray frown has six removed teeth spaces.
    • Black colored wire or plastic mesh is utilized inside the helmet to cover the open pieces of the frown.
  • Chin is painted gray with white detail matching visual references.
  • Side chin tubes are painted gray.
  • Ear stalks are painted gray.
  • Rear of helmet is painted gray.
    • White remains on rear disk, neck ring, rear recessed sides, and vertical section under rear disk.
  • Vent area on back of helmet is painted gray.
  • Gray areas of helmet are weathered with scuffs and light chips.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray.

  • Neck seal is black in color with horizontal ribbing similar to a stormtrooper.
  • No logos or labels are visible.
  • If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable.

  • Black non-textured material, either one-piece or two-piece construction with no visible zippers or logos.




104Heavy Shoulders.png Shoulder Armor
  • Right shoulder armor is painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Left shoulder armor is painted gloss or satin dark gray with an elongated diamond and Plo Koon’s sunburst in white.
  • Shoulders are tear drop in shape with all rounded edges.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray




104Heavy Biceps.png Upper Arm Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
    • The outside half of the armor is painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • There is a recessed area on the lower area of the back of the arm.
  • The outside of the bicep has a hard line edge at the front that turns in.
  • The inside of the upper arm is rounded.
  • Armor is seamless.
    • No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray




104Heavy Elbows.png Elbow Armor
  • Realistic style elbow armor.
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Elbow straps have a raised detail line at the top and bottom of the strap.
    • The inside half of the elbow strap is painted gloss or satin white.
  • Armor has two parallel dashed detail slots on each outside edge of elbow at the strap connection.
  • Elbows are mirror images of each other with a notched area on the outside of the elbow above the detail marks.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray




104Heavy Forearms.png Forearm Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
    • Each forearm has a mirrored painted section featuring 6 crescent shapes of reducing size.
    • This section is painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Both left and right forearms are mirror images of each other.
  • Right forearm has a compad with eight small buttons, one large main button, and one slightly smaller rectangular button.
  • Forearm tops have a flattened triangular area with a ridge that comes to a point at the top of the forearm.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray





Clone Hand Guards.jpg Hand Plates
  • Realistic style hand plates.
  • Armor is painted matte or satin white.
  • Hand plates have a top curving ridge that come to a point over the index or middle finger just past the main knuckle of the hand.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of grey.





Generic-black-gloves.jpg Gloves
  • Black over the wrist gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics.
  • Gloves cover any exposed skin.
  • Gloves do not show any labels or logos when the armor is worn.

  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
    • The upper area of the breast is painted in a gloss or satin dark gray, and is slightly curved.
  • Two detail slots on the right breast.
  • Chest and back armor match together at the sides with a small gap.
  • Shoulder straps are placed underneath the chest to connect to the back.
    • Shoulder straps are painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray

  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
    • Top half of the back armor is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray section, extending down to 1 inch above the bottom corners of the detail plate.
  • Rear center plate has detailed area that contains four circles, two parallel lines in the bottom left, and a rectangular vent detail in the bottom right.
  • Back and chest armor match together at the sides with a small gap.
  • Shoulder straps are placed underneath the back to connect to the chest.
    • Shoulder straps are painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray




104Heavy Abs.png Abdomen Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
  • Two inset lines divide the abdomen armor into segments.
  • Four holes, approximately ¼ inch in diameter, are present in each inset line.
  • Abdomen armor wraps around the wearer’s body and is sealed at the sides or back.
  • Abdomen armor is completely contained under the chest and back armor.
  • Armor is seamless at the sides and closes in the back.
    • A raised, armor plate covers the seam line and hides all work.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray

  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
  • Codpiece and Posterior armor connect at the hips.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray


OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Hips have correct detail snap and edge feature at the codpiece and posterior side connection.




104Heavy Belt NEW.jpg Belt
  • Realistic style belt, boxes, and detonator.
  • Belt, boxes, and detonator are painted gloss or satin white.
  • Belt front, between front boxes, has three vertical rectangle indents which are spaced apart by two protruding rectangle areas.
    • The rest of the belt is flat surfaced with raised edging on top and bottom that run along the rest of the belt.
  • Eight Belt Boxes are attached to Belt, with four on each side.
    • The two largest Boxes are in front with an angled top surface that is higher toward the center. The indent on these boxes are painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
    • The smallest boxes are located behind the front boxes, about 1⁄8 inch apart and have an angled end on top. The raised front face is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
    • The medium sized matching boxes, with flat top cover and thin rectangular front detail painted with a gloss or satin dark gray, are about 1⁄8 inch from smallest boxes.
    • Left rear box is spaced closer to detonator and has two square buttons in the top left corner, and two dashed indented detail marks on the bottom right. The lower front face is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Right rear box is spaced closer to detonator and has a bar with two small cylinders centered, and two dashed indented detail marks on the bottom left. The lower front face is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
  • A detonator is centered and attached to back of Belt.
    • Detonator tube is about 2 ¼ inch diameter with wider detailed end caps.
    • Seven horizontally aligned square buttons are on the left side of the tube, facing backwards.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray.


OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Boxes are notched on back and fit flush to belt.
  • Back of belt, between rear boxes, has horizontal ribbing.
  • Detonator connects to back of belt without any visible clips and is firmly secured in horizontal position.




104Heavy Thighs.png Thigh Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
    • An elongated off-centered triangle, approximately 4 inch wide at the base, moves up the front of the thigh above the knee, ending at a point close to the top. It is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Front of thigh armor has a flat triangular area near the knee.
  • From the top of the triangle a ridge line travels up the front of the thigh to the top edge.
  • Rear of the thigh has an indention.
  • Armor is seamless.
    • No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown.
  • Outside of lower edge comes to a point.
  • Inner lower edge is rounded.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray.




104Heavy Knees.png Knee Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin white.
  • Knees wrap around the front of the leg.
  • From top center a vertical raised detail line is present.
    • An elongated triangle moves down the raised detail, ending at a point at the bottom center. It is painted with a gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Knees are strapped to the leg via a white strap with a raised center area that wraps around the leg and connects on both sides of the knee.
  • Center strap is primer gray.
  • Connection between the knee and the strapping has a detailed clip.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray.


OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Flat strap has raised, 0.6 inch wide gray center strap.




104Heavy Shins.png Lower Leg Armor
  • Armor is painted gloss or satin dark gray.
  • Lower legs are mirror images of each other.
  • The front of the armor has a triangular detail at the top of the leg and a hard ridge line down the front of the shin.
    • The upper area of the triangular detail is painted gloss or satin white, extending around the armor to meet at the top of the calf scoop.
  • Back of lower leg armor features arched indentation, just under the calf, that follows down to the ankle.
    • Bottom of this indentation features a smaller arch detail at the heel.
  • Outside of the calf is closed.
    • Calf can have an access area on the inside of the leg.
  • Calves are seamless and have a trap door access through the indent in the rear of the lower leg.
    • A rectangle, measuring approx. 4.5 inch x 2.5 inch, is painted on the back of the calf. It is painted gloss or satin white.
  • Outside of the lower leg has a pointed tip at the top.
  • Inside of the lower leg is rounded at the top.
  • The armor is weathered with various chips and scuff marks.
  • Armor is weathered with shades of gray.





Clone shoes copy.jpg Boots
  • White, ankle high or tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate any black undersuit visible at the ankle.
  • Boots are lace-less.
  • The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap.
  • There are no markings or labels from the shoe makers.
  • Boot soles are flat.
  • Boot soles are colored primer grey.




Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.



DC15 carbine.jpg DC-15S Blaster

Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the DC-15S is smaller in scale than the DC-15A blaster rifle. Although it has a shorter range than that of the “A” model, it is easier to handle with a higher rate of fire and features a folding stock for braced firing.

  • Realistic Clone Style DC-15S Blaster.
  • Blaster may be scratch built out of plastic, wood, metal or cast in resin.
  • Blaster has realistic Episode II or Episode III details:
    • Wire frame sight.
    • Folding stock.
    • Twelve radiator fins evenly spaced along the length of barrel.
    • Igniter detail knobs.
    • Charge magazine clip on right side.
  • Total length is approximately 26 inches (66 cm).
  • Because of the scale, the Hasbro version is incorrect.


OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Charge magazine detail on clip is metal to gun metal grey in color.
  • Detail bolts and screws are metal to gun metal grey in color.
  • Igniter knobs have some copper coloring.
  • Blaster is weathered.
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
  • Functioning Blue LED is installed in barrel.





DC15 rifle.jpg DC-15A Blaster Rifle

Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the DC-15A is a Tibanna gas cartridge powered weapon. Hyper-ionized blue plasma bolts are more than capable of penetrating armored units. Exceptionally effective against both droids and contemporary targets.

  • Realistic Clone Style DC-15A Blaster Rifle.
  • Blaster rifle is scratch built out of plastic, wood, metal or cast in resin.
  • Blaster has realistic Episode II or Episode III details:
    • Flip up sight in down position.
    • Ten radiator fins are evenly spaced along the length of the barrel.
    • Power setting adjuster detail lever.
    • Sniper Scope attached under rifle in storage position.
    • Charge magazine clip on left side.
    • Igniter detail knobs.
  • Total length is approximately 55 inches (139.7 cm).
  • Because of the scale, the Hasbro version is not allowed.


OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Charge magazine detail on clip is metal to gun metal grey in color.
  • Detail bolts and screws are metal to gun metal grey in color.

  • Realistic Clone Style DC-15A Blaster Rifle with modifications.
  • Blaster rifle is scratch built out of plastic, wood, metal or cast in resin.
  • Blaster has realistic Episode II or Episode III details:
  • Flip up sight in down position.
  • (10) radiator fins evenly spaced along the length of barrel.
    • The barrel features a cone-shaped muzzle with 3 ribs at the base.
  • Power setting adjuster detail lever.
  • Sniper Scope attached under rifle in storage position.
  • Charge magazine clip on left side.
  • A sight is present at an angle behind the clip, with a rubber-like hose that extends from a detail piece, and attached into the main body of the blaster.
    • The sight features a large, cylindrical main body, and a narrow front cylinder, with two struts to connect to the main body of the blaster.
    • A rubber-like night vision eyecap is present on the back of the main body.
  • Igniter detail knobs.
  • Total length is approximately 55 inches (139.7 cm).
  • Because of the scale, the Hasbro version is not allowed.
  • A detailed scope is attached above the grip, featuring a narrow rear sight, and a pointed front detail.
    • 3 adjustment knobs are present on the center of the sight, positioned on the left, right, and top of the forward raised area.
    • Several screw and bolt detail pieces are present on the rear sight grip.
