Description: Airborne Trooper: 212th Parjai Squad Prefix: CX Detachment: Clone Trooper Detachment Context: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith The Parjai squad serve within the Grand Army of the Republic as part of the 2nd Airborne Company. These paratroopers are specially-trained for high altitude drops, often paragliding or parajumping from aircraft. Once reaching the ground, the airborne troopers become a formidable ground infantry fighting force.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met. In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume.

This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type. This document is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum. GMLs uncertain about an aspect of submitted costume shall post questions in the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the Legion forum. Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval. Requirements for all 501st costumes are proportional to the wearer in scale, fit and size. Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume.

Required Costume Components

The following costume components are present and appear as described below.

	Helmet Realistic style ROTS Airborne “Beehive” type helmet. Armor is painted matte or satin white with Orange details. Helmet has rounded dome with no Mohawk. Two 5/8 inch wide parallel Orange detail stripes, spread 1/2 inch apart, are above right side of visor and angle diagonally toward left cheek, stopping at the top of visor. Stripe lengths are approx. 3 inches for shorter one, and 4 inches for longer one. Helmet has narrow horizontal black eye lens. Along each side of eye lens are semi circular Intake vents with a protruding tube extending towards back of helmet. Intake is covered with black mesh or screen. White center nose bridge, below the eye lens, has center indent. Area below the nose bridge splits open to the base and has a black protruding vertical inset column detail. Base of helmet has two widened ventilation tube bands with widest tube band on bottom. Ends of smaller tube band, above the helmet base, have a black mesh opening in front. Two Black round aerators are located in the split area in front of lower tube band. Base tube band, to each side of center split opening, has orange detail. Base tube band has oval shaped inset ventilation detail with vertical ribbing at the front cheek areas. Helmet has a black or dark grey indented band that extends around back of helmet with black edging along the bottom. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Helmet has detailed engraved design running from each side of visor and down toward the base tube band.

	Neck Seal Neck seal is black in color with vertical ribbing or smooth in appearance. No logos or labels are visible. If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable.

	Under Suit Black non-textured material, either one-piece or two-piece construction with no visible zippers or logos.

	Shoulder Armor Realistic style shoulder armor. Shoulders are tear drop in shape with all rounded edges. Right shoulder is painted orange. Left shoulder is painted matte or satin white. Left shoulder has two parallel Orange stripes, starting at front edge and extending back. Stripes are 3/4 inch wide with 1/2 inch separation, and 2 1/2 inches long. Grey colored, center column ammo cartridge webbing band is attached to Left shoulder, and extends from top to bottom edges. Webbing band holds (11) Silver cartridges which are approximately 13/16" to 3/4 inch in diameter, and 2 7/16" to 2 1/2 inch long. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Cartridges have indented circular detail on each end with center hole on back, and indented star feature on front.

Upper Arm Armor Realistic style bicep armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Armor has a front hard line outside edge and inside rounded edge, with indented area on back. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Left arm has two 1/2 inch wide parallel grey bands, spaced 1/2 inch apart and run horizontally along center of bicep. An ammo cartridge is attached to bands on the outside of left arm. Ammo case is Light Gray with a dark gray cartridge. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Elbow Armor Realistic style elbow armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Elbow straps have a raised detail line at the top and bottom of the strap. Armor has two parallel dashed detail slots on each outside edge of elbow at the strap connection. Elbows are mirror images of each other with a notched area on the outside of the elbow above the detail marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Forearm Armor Realistic style forearm armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with orange detail. Right forearm has a compad with 8 small buttons,1 large main button, and 1 slightly smaller rectangular button closest to the elbow. Two diagonal 5/8 inch wide parallel orange stripes, spaced 1/2 inch apart, run along the inside edge of each forearm. Left Forearm has shorter 4 inch long stripe, and 4 1/2 inch long stripe. Right Forearm has both stripes 3 inch long. Forearms have a top ridge that transitions to a flattened triangle area at the wrist end. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Compad has detail antenna along right side of buttons.

	Hand Plates Realistic style hand plates. Hand Plates are painted matte or satin white with orange painted over. Hand plates have a top curving ridge that come to a point over the index or middle finger just past the main knuckle of the hand. Hand plates are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Gloves Black over the wrist gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics. Gloves cover any exposed skin. Gloves do not show any labels or logos when the armor is worn.

	Chest Armor Realistic style Chest Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with orange detail. Two detail slots on lower outside edge of right raised chest area. Two 3/4 inch wide parallel orange detail stripes, spaced 1/2 inch apart, run diagonally from left arm down towards center of Chest. Stripes are 4 1/2 inch long for shorter one and 5 inch long on other. Chest and back armor match together at the sides with no open gap. A seam line is present. Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Left chest area above orange stripes are five red dash marks, with one vertical and the other four aligned horizontally in two parallel rows.

	Back Armor Realistic style back armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Back has a detail plate with four circles on top, two elongated areas on left, and vents on lower right. Optional: Alternative Back Armor accessories are listed below, under "Optional Accessories" Back and chest armor match together at the sides with no open gap. A seam line is present. Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Highly detailed resin Back box plate cover with circuitry insets.

Airborne Harness Realistic style Airborne Harness. Shoulder strap harness connector attaches over the right shoulder strap. Harness connection has a silver strap connector on front and back, with center band colored black. Front grey belt strap is 2 inches wide and extends from the top of the two front belt boxes and feeds through front harness connector. The right belt box strap runs up and into the harness connector from behind, then feeds outward over front and crosses the chest down to left belt box. *Front belt boxes each have a small, 1/2 inch high, grey connector frame detail on top that strap feeds into. A silver buckle is secured at the center of the cross over strap. Overlaid on top of front straps over right chest is a black angular plate with a diagonal orange colored stripe across it. Plate is located between shoulder connector and metal buckle. Back – grey belt strap is 2 inches wide and attaches to back harness connector and extends down to the rear right belt box, next to the detonator. Rear right belt box has a small 1/2 inch high grey connector frame detail on top that strap feeds into.

	Airborne Bag Realistic style messenger type Airborne Bag. Bag is khaki colored military messenger type bag, about 8 1/2 inches wide with shorter height of about 6 1/2 inches. 1 inch shoulder strap attaches to each side of the bag. Strap has a black shoulder pad where the strap rests over the shoulder armor. A light tan 1 1/2 wide vertical strap is centered on bag under top flap. The same light tan strap 3 1/2 inches in length is attached on each side of bag just under shoulder strap. Two 1 inch wide grey ribbed straps run vertically over the bag front flap cover and under the flap on the bag. These straps are evenly spaced between the center light tan strap and outside edge of bag. (3) detonator canisters 2 inch long and 1 1/4 inch diameter are wrapped in 2 inch webbing and secured to front facing bag strap. Bag is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Canisters have detail end cap with right side end having an indented circle detail 5/8 inch diameter, and left facing end have a 1 inch raised circular area with inner circle pattern.

	Abdomen Armor Realistic style Abdomen Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. An 1 inch wide, orange vertical detail stripe, runs down the center of the abdomen. Eight 1/4" diameter holes, with four holes inside each indented channel of the abdomen. Abdomen section wraps around the wearers body and is sealed at sides or at back. Abdomen is completely contained under the chest and back armor. Abdomen aligns with codpiece with the seam line hidden by the belt. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Seam line along sides or back has no gap.

	Codpiece and Posterior Armor Realistic style Codpiece and and posterior armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Cod and posterior armor connect at the hips. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Hips have correct detail connector snap and edge feature at the codpiece and posterior side connection.

	Belt Realistic style belt, boxes, and detonator. Belt, boxes and detonator are painted matte or satin white with orange detail. Belt front, between front boxes, has three vertical rectangle indents which are spaced apart by two protruding rectangle areas. The rest of the belt is flat surfaced with raised edging on top and bottom that run along the rest of the belt. Command buckle is attached just below belt on front center. Eight Belt Boxes are attached to Belt, with four on each side. The two largest boxes are in front with angled top surface that is higher toward the center. Front Belt Boxes have an orange detail inverted “T” that is 7/8 inch wide on vertical bar, and 5/8 inch wide on horizontal bar. The smallest boxes are located behind the front boxes, about 1/8 inch apart and have an angled end on top. The medium sized matching boxes, with flat top cover, are about 1/8 inch from smallest boxes. Left rear box is spaced closer to detonator and has two square buttons in the top left corner, and two dashed indented detail marks on bottom right. Right rear box is spaced closer to detonator and has a bar with two small cylinders centered, and two dashed indented detail marks on bottom left. A detonator is centered and attached to back of Belt. Detonator tube is about 2 1/4 inch diameter with wider detailed end caps. Seven horizontally aligned square buttons are on left side of tube, facing backwards. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Boxes are notched on back and fit flush to belt.
	OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Back of belt, between rear boxes, has horizontal ribbing. Detonator has 1/8 to 1/4 inch wide rectangle base, connecting detonator to Belt.

Kama Realistic style Kama is tan. Center bottom edge of Kama has a triangle split. Kama wraps around cod and posterior armor under the belt. Front edges align about 1 inch behind outside edge of front belt boxes. Kama is made from a heavy fabric material like denim or duck cloth. Leather or vinyl is not acceptable. Kama extends down to align with the bottom of the knee armor. White, 1/2 inch wide connector straps are attached to Kama, approximately 6 inches below the belt boxes. Metal clips at the end of the strap connect to the command buckle which is centered on the front of the belt. Kama is weathered.

	Thigh Armor Realistic style Thigh Armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white with orange detail. Thigh Armor has a flat triangle area above the knee which transitions to a ridge line that runs up the front of the thigh to the top edge. Rear of armor has an indented area. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Left thigh has two parallel 3/4 inch orange detail strips, spaced 1 inch apart and angle diagonally from upper inner thigh to lower outside edge. Shorter stripe is 8 1/2 inchs long and the other is 9 inches long. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Outside lower portion of the thighs come to a point and inner lower end is rounded.

	Knee Armor Realistic style Knee Armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white with orange detail. Left knee is painted completely orange. Right knee has two 1/2 inch wide parallel orange stripes, spaced apart 1/4 inches, and run from the outer right top to the base of the protruding flat area. **Shorter stripe is 4 inches long and the other is 5 inches long. Knees have a protruding flat area in front, oriented towards the top of knee. Knees bend around the front and connect to white detail clips that connect the strap on each side. A white colored flat strap, about 2 inches wide, wraps around back of leg. Orange areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Flat Strap has raised 5/8 Inch wide grey center strap.

Lower Leg Armor Realistic style lower leg armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white. Front of lower leg has a flat triangular detail at the top which transitions to a ridge line that travels down the front of the armor to the ankle. Back of lower leg armor features arched indentation, just under the calf, that follows down to the ankle. Bottom of this indentation features a smaller arch detail at the heel. Outside of the calf is closed. Calf can have an access area on the inside of the leg. Calves are seamless and have a trap door access through the indent in the rear of the lower leg. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Boots White, ankle high or tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate any black undersuit visible at the ankle. Boots are lace-less. The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap. There are no markings or labels from the shoe makers. Boot soles are flat. Boot soles are colored primer grey.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

	Back Armor Realistic style back armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Back has a detail plate with four circles on top, two elongated areas on left, and vents on lower right. Thermal detonator with three buttons is attached to top of back box area by two protruding brackets that angle towards the back. Two radio boxes, painted matte or satin white with black antennae, are aligned horizontally in the recessed area below the center box. Back and chest armor match together at the sides with no open gap. A seam line is present. Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Highly detailed resin Back box plate cover with circuitry insets.

	DC-15S Blaster Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the DC-15S is smaller in scale than the DC-15A blaster rifle. Although it has a shorter range than that of the “A” model, it is easier to handle with a higher rate of fire and features a folding stock for braced firing. Realistic Clone Style DC-15S Blaster. Blaster may be scratch built out of plastic, wood, metal or cast in resin. Blaster has realistic Episode II or Episode III details: Wire frame sight. Folding stock. Twelve radiator fins evenly spaced along the length of barrel. Igniter detail knobs. Charge magazine clip on right side. Total length is approximately 26 inches (66 cm). Because of the scale, the Hasbro version is incorrect.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Charge magazine detail on clip is metal to gun metal grey in color. Detail bolts and screws are metal to gun metal grey in color. Igniter knobs have some copper coloring. Blaster is weathered.
	OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Functioning Blue LED is installed in barrel.

	DC-15A Blaster Rifle Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the DC-15A is a Tibanna gas cartridge powered weapon. Hyper-ionized blue plasma bolts are more than capable of penetrating armored units. Exceptionally effective against both droids and contemporary targets. Realistic Clone Style DC-15A Blaster Rifle. Blaster rifle is scratch built out of plastic, wood, metal or cast in resin. Blaster has realistic Episode II or Episode III details: Flip up sight in down position. Ten radiator fins are evenly spaced along the length of the barrel. Power setting adjuster detail lever. Sniper Scope attached under rifle in storage position. Charge magazine clip on left side. Igniter detail knobs. Total length is approximately 55 inches (139.7 cm). Because of the scale, the Hasbro version is not allowed.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Charge magazine detail on clip is metal to gun metal grey in color. Detail bolts and screws are metal to gun metal grey in color. Igniter has some copper coloring. Power setting adjuster detail lever is metal or gun metal grey. Sniper scope is metal or gun metal grey. Blaster is weathered.
	OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Functioning Blue LED is installed in barrel.
