Description: Commander Ganch (Phase II) Prefix: CC Detachment: Clone Trooper Detachment Context: Expanded universe storyline and Sideshow Militaries of Star Wars. Ganch serves in the Grand Army of the Republic as the commanding officer of the 612th Attack Battalion. Clone Commander Ganch is a no-nonsense, by the manual soldier who devotes all his energies to following orders to the letter. His hardened attitude comes from witnessing what can go wrong when troops lack discipline. A botched mission early in the Clone Wars left Ganch the sole survivor of Skua Squad.

For 501st membership only the requirements in black need to be met. In the page below, items listed in blue are recommended features that will improve the quality of the costume. Items listed in red are intended to further enhance the finished costume. Special Notes: • The “Animated” armor design, seen in 2008 The Clone Wars Cartoon Series, differs from the “Realistic” armor design used to create characters from the theatrical films, video games, and graphic novels. See this thread at 501stclonetroopers.com for the differences between the sculpts. (This may require an additional forum account.) • Armor parts shall be made from fiberglass, ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene), or a similar rigid material. This includes vacuum formed plastics as well as properly finished and smoothed 3D printed armor forms. See this thread at 501stclonetroopers.com for examples of acceptable and unacceptable levels of 3D print finishing. • All numerical measurements given in CTD CRLs are approximate. Measurements should be followed as closely as possible while not affecting the proportionality of costume details. Proportionality should take precedence over exact measurements.

This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type. This document is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum. GMLs uncertain about an aspect of submitted costume shall post questions in the appropriate DL/GML peer review section of the Legion forum. Measurements given in this document are intended to be approximate and generalized; not criteria for approval. Requirements for all 501st costumes are proportional to the wearer in scale, fit and size. Text descriptions are only one part of the guideline. GMLs and costumers must consider both text and pictures (CRL and Reference) when reviewing the costume.

	Helmet Realistic style ROTS Phase II helmet. Fan-made helmet. Some "name brand" helmets may be unacceptable. Helmet is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Black eye lens. Helmet Mohawk on dome is white with front white extending down to a point just above black brow band. Raised circle detail on back is white. Helmet has a black brow band, just above the eye lens, that extends around to the back of helmet. Helmet frown is charcoal grey in color. Wire or plastic mesh is utilized inside the helmet to cover the open pieces of the frown. Bright Red dome with two white “S” pattern stripes leading up from each eye area and arching toward the back and side of the helmet and ending with a split “V” at the top of each stripe. Swooping “S” pattern stripe carries down the check below the Black rim and arches toward the center of the visor aimed at a center point. Bright Red covers the area between the front center communications greeble and frown. Bright Red continues along the front edge of each aerator enclosure forming a curled mustache pattern. This Bright Red curl forms the front edge of a swirling white stripe that curls around each aerator and circles under the aerator enclosure. Bright Red edge frames the back side of the white swirling stripe. Indented check areas are Bright Red except for indented wall along ear column. Ear columns are Bright Red with a triangle pattern angling along the front base. Bright Red covers back of helmet following along the back raised edges. On the back of helmet, the raised center edges are Gray with indented area Black. Black aerators with metal grills are mounted inside the two indented front jaw tubes at base of helmet. Ear caps are dark grey with black edging and detail. Grey indented helmet band around back of dome. Black Indented vertical rectangle area on back with ribbed detail. V frame around black indented area is grey. Bright red has scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Helmet has an enclosed complete neck ring that seals the helmet to the neck.

	Neck Seal Neck seal is black in color with vertical ribbing or smooth in appearance. No logos or labels are visible. If the seal is not incorporated as part of the undersuit, a balaclava or other similar covering is acceptable.

	Under Suit Black non-textured material, either one-piece or two-piece construction with no visible zippers or logos.

	Pauldron Realistic style Pauldron. Pauldron has rounded black base. Pauldron has eight sections with two in front, two in back, and two on each shoulder. All sections are bright red. Pauldron front section extends down to edge of raised Chest plate with center vertical seam. Pauldron rear section extends down to cover the top of the Back Armor box detail.

	Shoulder Armor Realistic Style Shoulder Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red vertical stripe is painted on the center of each shoulder. Shoulders are tear drop in shape with all rounded edges. Bright red has scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Upper Arm Armor Realistic style Upper Arm Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Armor has a front hard line outside edge and inside rounded edge. Armor piece has a dimple on the lower area of the back of the arm. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Upper Arms have a wide red stripe along the outside edge. Right Upper Arm has a white or light grey strap with attached triangular shaped white ammo box. Ammo box is wider at bottom and narrower at top. Outside facing surface is indented with horizontal ridge pattern Bright red has scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Elbow Armor Realistic style elbow armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Elbow straps have a raised detail line at the top and bottom of the strap. Armor has two parallel dashed detail slots on each outside edge of elbow at the strap connection. Elbows are mirror images of each other with a notched area on the outside of the elbow above the detail marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Forearm Armor Realistic Style Forearm Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red covers top of forearm with edges starting at each corner of the flat triangle along wrist, and carries straight back to elbow ends of forearm. Right forearm has a compad with 8 small buttons,1 large main button, and 1 slightly smaller rectangular button closest to the elbow. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Bright red has scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Hand Plates Realistic style hand plates. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red stripe runs down each hand with wider end at the fingers. Hand plates have a top curving ridge that come to a point over the index or middle finger just past the main knuckle of the hand. Bright red has scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Gloves Black over the wrist gloves made of leather, nylon, or other low pile fabrics. Gloves cover any exposed skin. Gloves do not show any labels or logos when the armor is worn.

Chest Armor Realistic style Chest Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red details on armor: Bright red “V” shape design pattern on top starting at each shoulder, angling down to a point below the raised chest area. Bright red shoulder straps. Bright red swooshes along each side start from a point high on the Back Armor, near the edge of the arm opening. Swooshes then arch down along the sides of the armor, under arm holes, and end at the edge of the elevated chest area with a “v” notch at bottom. Two detail slots on lower outside edge of right raised chest area. Chest and back armor match together at the sides with no open gap. A seam line is present. Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points. Bright red areas have scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Dual Holster Harness Realistic Style Chest Dual Holster Harness. Holsters are painted matte or satin white. Holsters are connected by two vertical grey straps that carry down from shoulder straps to each holster. A diagonal grey strap connects to each holster and carries down to left side belt boxes. Holsters are aligned with outside edge of Chest Armor and oriented with pistol grips pointed inward toward center of chest. Right Holster top edge is aligned with bottom edge of Pauldron. Left Holster bottom edge aligns with bottom edge of Chest Armor. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Back Armor Realistic Style back armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red details on armor: Bright red swooshes along each side start from a point high on the Back Armor, near the edge of the arm opening. Swooshes then arch down along the sides of the armor, under arm holes, and end at the edge of the elevated chest area with a “v” notch at bottom. Bright red top of armor above detail Back box, with bright red angling down and outward from each corner of box. Back has a detail plate with four circles on top, two elongated areas on left, and vents on lower right. Back and chest armor match together at the sides with no open gap. A seam line is present. Shoulder straps are slotted into the detail ridges of the top connection points. Bright red areas have scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Highly detailed resin back box plate cover with circuitry insets.

Abdomen Armor Realistic style abdomen Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Eight 1/4" diameter holes, with four holes inside each indented channel of the abdomen. Abdomen section wraps around the wearers body and is sealed at sides or at back. Abdomen is completely contained under the chest and back armor. Armor aligns with codpiece with the seam line hidden by the belt. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

	Codpiece Realistic style Codpiece. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Cod and posterior armor connect at the hips. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Hips have correct detail connector snap and edge feature at the codpiece and posterior side connection.

	Posterior Armor Realistic style Posterior Armor. Armor is painted matte or satin white. Posterior Armor and Codpiece connect at the hips. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Hips have correct detail connector snap and edge feature at the posterior and Codpiece side connection.

	Belt Realistic style belt, boxes, and detonator. Belt, boxes and detonator are painted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Belt front is white between front boxes. Belt front has three vertical rectangle indents which are spaced apart by two protruding rectangle areas. Rest of belt is bright red. Belt is flat surfaced with raised edging on top and bottom that run along the rest of the belt. Eight Belt Boxes are attached to Belt, with four on each side. The two largest Boxes are in front are bright red and have an angled top surface that is higher toward the center. The smallest boxes are bright red and located behind the front boxes, about 1/8 inch apart and have an angled end on top. The medium sized matching boxes are white with a bright red vertical stripe that a white break towards the top. These boxes have a flat top cover, are about 1/8 inch from smallest boxes. Left rear box next to detonator is bright red and has two square buttons in the top left corner, and two dashed indented detail marks on the bottom right. Right rear box next to detonator is bright red and has a bar with two small cylinders centered, and two dashed indented detail marks on bottom left. Detonator is white and centered on back of Belt. Detonator tube is about 2 1/4 inch diameter with wider detailed end caps. Seven horizontally aligned square buttons are on left side of tube, facing backwards. Belt, boxes and detonator have scuff marks, and are weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Boxes are notched on back and fit flush to belt.
	OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Back of belt, between rear boxes, has horizontal ribbing. Detonator connects to back of belt without any visible clips and is firmly secured in horizontal position.

	Thigh Armor Realistic Style Thigh Armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white with bright red overlaid. Armor is completely overlaid with bright red. Thigh Armor has a flat triangle area above the knee which transitions to a ridge line that runs up the front of the thigh to the top edge. Rear of armor has an indented area. Armor is seamless. No visible traces of how the armor was assembled are shown. Bright red areas have scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Outside lower portion of the thighs come to a point and inner lower end is rounded.

	Knee Armor Realistic style knee armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red wide stripe runs vertically down the center of each knee. Knees have a protruding flat area in front oriented towards the top of Knee. Knees bend around the front and connect to white detail clips that connect the strap on each side. A white colored flat strap, about 2 inches wide, wraps around back of leg. Bright red areas have scuff marks that expose underlying white. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.
	OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Flat Strap has raised 5/8 Inch wide grey center strap.

Lower Leg Armor Realistic Style Lower Leg Armor. Armor is panted matte or satin white with bright red detail. Bright red stripe runs vertically down front of armor and narrows as it carries down toward boots. Front of lower leg has a flat triangular detail at the top which transitions to a ridge line that travels down the front of the armor to the ankle. Back of lower leg armor features arched indentation, just under the calf, that follows down to the ankle. Bottom of this indentation features a smaller arch detail at the heel. Outside of the calf is closed. Calf can have an access area on the inside of the leg. Calves are seamless and have a trap door access through the indent in the rear of the lower leg. Blue areas are weathered with various scuff marks. Armor is weathered with shades of grey.

Boots Realistic Style Clone Boots. Boots are white with bright red detail. Bright red details on boots. Front triangle is bright red and carries back as a stripe. Bright red stripe covers top square detail and continues up boot overlay on front to align with Lower Leg Armor. Boot straps have a bright red stripe that aligns with stripe on boot overlay. Boots are ankle high or tall enough to cover the ankle and eliminate any black undersuit visible at the ankle. Boots are lace-less. The boots have armor detail to include a natural seam at the toe and a strap that goes over the top of the foot with two protruding disks at each side of the strap. There are no markings or labels from the shoe makers. Boot soles are flat. Boot soles are white or weathered grey.

Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use.

	DC-17 Hand Blaster Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, DC-17 pistols are carried in quick-release holsters. They are widely recognized for their unusually high stopping power and firing rate. This is the realistic variant of the DC-17 blaster. Two Blasters are carried in the Chest Dual Holster Harness. Blasters have round disc detail on back, and detail grooves on sides.
