The Sustainable Procurement Pledge

SPP has been on an incredible journey of growth and development over the last few years. The dreams and ambitions we have as a global community are BIG. And to reach them we will need to scale, accelerate, and just get stuff done. To this end one of the big tasks my team and I have taken on since I first joined SPP 17 months ago was to establish the roots and foundation of the organization. We could not have taken some of the monumental leaps we have taken without the incredible support of Ranajoy Basu. Today I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Ranajoy as the second member of the SPP Advisory Council, joining Nancy Gillis. I will always remember walking into Ranajoy's office with Bertrand Conquéret and Oliver Hurrey and explaining the SPP vision and ambition. Our dream to bring together 1 Million procurement professionals, empower their journey, and aligning 15 trillion in annual spend with a sustainability framework can seem a little far-flung to many. Thinking big and believing that far-flung is possible is what it takes. Like so many of you, Ranajoy did not only believe in our vision but wanted to be part of the journey. Since that first meeting he has been an amazing partner and friend offering his time and expertise as well lending the support of so many of his colleagues McDermott Will & Emery. Ranajoy, it is my absolute pleasure to officially welcome you as an SPP Advisory Council member.
