If our control consoles were certified since 2021, thus guaranteeing a positive impact on the air quality of the control centers, it is now the Meet Series for meeting rooms which has obtained the Greenguard certification thanks to the materials used to it construction. This certificate is another demonstration that accredits GESAB's concern for the well-being and health of operators, as well as its involvement in the search for best practices that protect the environment. A "piece" of technology worth the attention of African security planners fighting human trafficking. 1. Made up of fifty-four sovereign states with 48 of them on the mainland, Africa border security agencies are faced with many challenges. 2. Drug trafficking, illicit arms trade, commodity smuggling, and terrorism are among the major activities that dominate international headlines concerning the effects of the porous borders in the continent. 3. In recent years, there has been a rise in human trafficking and the smuggling of endangered species from across the continent to Europe and other parts of the world. As security agents adapt to the elusive tactics of human traffickers, the criminals correspondingly get more sophisticated. 4. Criminals have resorted to concealing people and animals in trucks and other vehicles to cross borders. Even in the United States, this has been a challenge for border security agents in the South. In desperation, migrants are subjected to inhuman conditions as they hide in trucks and other vehicles to evade security. 5. And so what? 6. Last April, during the World Border Security Congress in Istanbul, unival group GmbH exhibited a technology that could be adopted in tackling human and animal trafficking in Africa and elsewhere. 7. The MicroSearch HUMAN PRESENCE System is a patented technology that detects human smuggling in vehicles. While the technology is ideal for human detection, it is also effective for the detection of animals. It works with magnetic-seismic sensors that are attached to the vehicles. This has been deployed around the world with impressive results. 8. The portability and efficiency of the technology further add to its efficacy. It comes in a ruggedised case. This means the deployment of the hardware is not herculean despite its precision. This also means that time spent at border crossings is drastically reduced. 9. During the exhibition, many potential customers who were not familiar with how seismic-magnetic sensors work asked questions about the safety of the technology to humans. Impressively, the technology does not work with radioactivity. 10. With this, human and animal trafficking across Africa could be effectively mitigated. Currently, the technology is on display in the #Eurosatory in Paris. Kindly make it a point to pass by when you attend the event.
