When Dahe Paper Group, a state-owned paper mill company in Henan Province, China, wanted to maximize the uptime of their almost 100 VACON® NXP Air Cooled drives, Danfoss Drives was the obvious choice for them. For Dahe Paper Group it was important to reduce the risk of drive faults and to minimize downtime whenever a fault occurred. This was further complicated by the distance of the Henan Province from China’s major manufacturing centers, which made it difficult to access spare parts and support. Meet Everfuel, a pioneer in green hydrogen production. For an ambitious pilot project at their flagship facility in Fredericia, Denmark, Everfuel chose our iC7-Hybrid power converter to power efficient production of this low-emission energy source. Not only did our power converters help them succeed, but they were also able to recapture excess heat to feed back to the local area. Equipped with high conversion efficiency of 98%, the iC7-Hybrid features a simplified grid connection that enables heat recovery during hydrogen production – allowing the heat recovery to be fed back into the grid for district heating in Fredericia.
