Brigada Eskwela 2024: A day filled with smiles and cheer What a day! 😊 A huge shoutout to our 15 colleagues from TORM Philippines who rolled up their sleeves and headed to San Narciso Elementary School in Quezon province. Despite busy schedules and long hours of travel, they were all in, making sure the students had everything they needed for a great start to their academic year. 😄 From essential school supplies and fresh paint to fun treats and hygiene kits, our volunteers made sure every detail was covered. But it wasn’t just about the supplies—there were plenty of games, laughs, and a shared meal that brought everyone together. Seeing the smiles on the faces of 70 learners and their teachers was the best reward of all. 📚 This continued effort shows the power of coming together to make a lasting difference, and we’re grateful to our team for executing this beautiful event. At TORM, we pursue innovative solutions for the challenges we face. 🌍 One of the main challenges in shipping when it comes to energy efficiency is biofouling. Biofouling refers to the algae growth that makes it harder for a vessel to move efficiently when it occurs on the propeller. 🌊 Ultrasound is a new way to fight biofouling. With a pattern of increasing and decreasing vibrations on the surface of the propeller, ultrasound can prevent surface algae and ensure a smooth surface for maintaining energy-efficient sailing. 🔊🛳️ With average savings of 140 tons of CO2 per vessel every single year, it is standard equipment on TORM vessels. TORM has used ultrasound on propellers since 2017, and the propeller ultrasound program is completed across our fleet except recently purchased vessels where installation is in process. 🔄💡 #OneTORM #Sustainability #ultrasound

Quick, Efficient, and Ready for Action! 🚢 TORM Sublime is back at sea after a swift drydock, completing her SS1 docking repairs with significant performance upgrades. Key energy optimization projects included the installation of LT valves and PSV equipment. The hull underwent a full blast and received a fresh five-layer coating. This smooth, shiny finish is set to deliver significant fuel savings. 💡⚡ Special thanks to Captain Jimmy Krogh Petersen, Chief Engineer Lars Sørensen, Chief Officer Luther Tafalla Cataquiz, Second Engineer Zaldy Bassig Macarubbo, and Second Officer/Safety Officer Aaron George.
