Senior Product Designer (6M FTC)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer with excellent UX design skills and a strong focus on UI and visual design to help shape our Coworker, an AI-powered market research agent who can help you scope and launch qual research, interview hundreds of participants, and report on findings, all via chat and ultra-smooth workflows.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our AI products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to create intuitive and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet both user needs and business goals.

If you are passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and have a keen eye for visual design, we would love to hear from you.

This is a six month contract, with potential to evolve into a full time position. We’re office-first: our light and plant filled office is in Spitalfields, London, and we’d like you to join us on site 4 days a week.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you have the opportunity to define how our clients interact with cutting-edge AI-native products. You will do this by:

  • User-centered design: Collaborate with Product to conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs and pain points and contribute to our personas. Lead workshops to tease out learnings from our team.

  • Shape human-AI workflows: Define workflows for how users should progress through key moments in scoping, launching, monitoring and analysing projects.

  • Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.

  • Drive AI-native visual design: Refine our visual language to create high-fidelity visual designs for our AI Coworker and that create delight and solicit trust.

  • Design system: Lead evolving our nascent design system to ensure consistency and visual appeal across our product.

Who you are: skills and experience

  • 4+ years of experience in UX and UI/visual design, preferably in a start-up or tech environment. You have stories to share about your successes, challenges and lessons learned.

  • Portfolio showcasing how you’ve solved complex problems and workflows with beautiful, intuitive UX/UI and visual design.

  • Problem-solving and first-principles thinking: Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about user experience and business goals. Ability to navigate a high degree of complexity, figuring out what needs to be done and executing on your plan, adjusting approach in light of new information/changes in priority.

  • Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like Framer, and AI-led rapid brainstorming and wire-framing tools.

  • Visual design emphasis: Expert knowledge of typography, layout and grid, colour theory, and iconography. Illustration, animation and motion skills are a plus.

Who you are: mindset

You are passionate about designing world-class product experiences from 0 to 1, and making your mark as AI redefines our digital world. You like to stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and try them out in your work, and share tips with others.

You’re enthusiastic about creating pixel-perfect designs, but also keen to be involved in product strategy conversations.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, with high accountability and transparency. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and dive in.

You are a force for progress and growth — within your team, for the company, for the product.
