Position Description

Aurrera Health Group offers a dedicated and fast-paced environment focused on helping a range of clients improve the health care safety net. The Digital Designer will help clients develop and augment state, local, and federal health, behavioral health, and social supports by developing multi-media communications materials. Client deliverables may include reports, slides, infographics, factsheets, toolkits, videos, websites, and correlated social media postings. Additionally, the incumbent will support various Aurrera Health teams in the development and execution of internal communication materials. The Digital Designer may be asked to play a key role in several projects simultaneously and will be asked to translate complex policy, technical, and strategic issues into easily consumable design.

This is a temporary part-time position. We anticipate up to 25 hours of work a week. Some work, which includes formatting of documents or developing designs to accompany presentation slides, will require rapid turnaround (e.g., same day or next day) with short advance notice. Other projects will be longer-term in nature with one-to-three-week turnaround.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Designing new branding concepts and applying design skills to development and updating of new and existing content, including webinars, reports, fact sheets, presentations, and other collateral, as needed;

  • Generating and producing graphics and animated videos to convey complex information based on client requirements, messaging, and understanding of audience;

  • Designing and producing various multimedia pieces that create cohesive and effective visual communication across different channels;

  • Working with cross-functional teams to discuss creative, audio, and technical needs for projects;

  • Ensuring design materials align with regulatory standards and messaging for clients, including representatives from federal, state, and local government agencies;

  • Responding promptly to urgent design requests;

  • Managing project milestones and due dates in the form of developing and advancing work plans, meeting agendas, and other materials.

  • Working across multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have:

  • At least four years of graphic design experience supporting health care-related organizations;

  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design and animated video production;

  • Experience developing design for the web

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Keen eye for detail and quality while maintaining awareness of deadlines and constraints;

  • Ability to estimate resources and time required for production tasks;

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and anticipate firm and client needs to recommend and create designs;

  • Skills related to effective project management, including strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage time, problem solving, adaptability, willingness to learn, and a proactive work style.

Location

Aurrera Health Group is a fully remote organization and candidates from all areas of the country are encouraged to apply. Candidates must perform all work in the continental United States.

As a national firm, the Aurrera Health Group team works across four time zones. Aurrera Health will work with candidates to establish a schedule of core work hours that meets the employee and the firm’s needs. Preference may be given to individuals who can work an East Coast schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time non-exempt temporary position. The pay range for this position is $40 - $50 an hour, depending on experience.
