The 28th MDG is closed every Wednesday until 12:30 p.m. for readiness training, as well as national holidays and approved family days. Hours may vary by clinic. Please refer to your specific clinic for hours of operation.
Our Medical Group
The 28th Medical Group guarantees our nation's combat airpower - anytime, anywhere by providing deployed medical capability for contingency operations throughout the world.
The 28 MDG trains 150 active duty health care professionals to sustain deployed and home station readiness response skills. The 28 MDG provides outpatient medical care to 3,200 active duty members and 17,000 beneficiaries, as well as retired personnel and their families.
Services and Clinics
The 247 medical professionals in our facility provide a wide range of services and programs designed to ensure good health and wellness for those they serve, including the following services and clinics:

Ancillary services are provided through the pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, allergy and immunizations clinic.
The 28 MDG also provides veterinary services for routine vaccinations and treatment of minor illnesses for dogs and cats belonging to active-duty and retired military personnel through the veterinary clinic.
Squadrons
Two squadrons make up the 28 MDG; the 28th Health Care Operations Squadron and the 28th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron.
The Group is accredited by The Joint Commission, Patient Centered Medical Home certified, American Dental Association, College of American Pathologists, as well as multiple affiliations with professional medical organizations.

The 28th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron provides comprehensive primary care and referral services for specialty care to Active Duty beneficiaries. The 28 OMRS is comprised of eight flights: Aerospace Medicine to include Dietary Therapy, Bioenvironmental Engineering, Dental Clinic, Education and Training, Medical Readiness to include Personnel and Administration, Mental Health, Physical Therapy, and Public Health. Our staff of 114 healthcare professionals ensure compliance of standards to support a population-based preventive medicine program. Available services include: Aerospace and Operation Medicine, Dental (active duty only), Family Advocacy, Health Promotions, Mental Health, Optometry, Primary Care (active duty only), and Substance Abuse Counseling. Combined, these clinics average more than 74,000 visits per year.
The 28th Healthcare Operations Squadron provides comprehensive primary care and referral services for specialty care to TRICARE-enrolled active duty family members, retirees and retiree family members. The squadron is comprised of eight flights Clinical Medicine, Diagnostics and Therapeutics, Family Health Clinic, Clinical Laboratory, and Medical Logistics to include Facility Management, Medical Information Systems, Resource Management, and TRICARE Operations and Patient Administration. The 28 HCOS supports health care delivery by providing services such as Allergy and Immunizations, Ambulance Services, Pediatrics, Primary Care, and Women’s Health Combined, these clinics average more than 74,000 visits per year. The squadron manages the medical group’s budget of $11 million as of October 2019 and manpower programs for more than 247 staff members. The managed care program supports an enrolled population of 17,000 beneficiaries amounting to approximately 155,000 annual patient visits. Additionally, the squadron provides ancillary services, and fills 10,500 prescriptions, performs 5,000 lab tests, administers 1,500 vaccines, and performs 600 X-rays a month.
