Talk:Lyon hypothesis

I propose that this page be largely merged with the information from Barr body under the title X-inactivation. In my experience referring to the process as Lyonization or as the Lyon hypothesis is far more rare than simply refrering to it as X-inactivation. Furthermore, referring to the Lyon hypothesis could perhaps make the phenomenon seem more speculative than it actually is. In my view, the Lyon hypothesis page would be better suited to talk about the history of how the phenomenon of X-inactivation was postulated by Mary Lyon and then discovered.
