Missing citation source in section "Media appearances" for film appearance: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2975590/fullcredits/?ref_=tt_ov_st_sm

More poor editing found. All four links in thr See also section are not needed. deGrasse Tyson is only the son of a person of Puerto Rican descent. 43.249.196.153 (talk) 02:23, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good point. I don't see how these articles help the reader understand anything about the subject of this article, any more than articles about Alabama if his mother had been born there. Removed. O3000, Ret. (talk) 10:32, 22 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's listed in his filmography "other appearances". Schazjmd (talk) 21:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)Antwort

Has this guy ever published serious research papers? Has he ever been granted tenure or a professorship? Why is black spelled with a small b? I thought when talking about race, it's to be spelled with a capital B as in Black? The articles appears to be written by someone who does not know what he's talking about. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.249.187.117 (talk) 00:22, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The article lists his many papers and honors. In wikipedia capitalization follows the pattern of the sources. Johnjbarton (talk) 01:21, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm sure Tyson had no say over whether or not 'Black' was capitalized in the article written about him. Anyway, style guides, including Wikipedia, are mixed on this. CWenger (^@) 02:02, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unverifiable paragraph in "Race and social justice"

edit

The section "Race and social justice" has four paragraphs. The first three deal with race issues with broadly similar content. The first of these, the very first paragraph, has two sources but neither one is viable. One is a link to a youtube account that is not active. The second is a dead link with archive content in Adobe flash: it does not render.

I am going to delete the first paragraph as not consistent with WP:VERIFY. It's not critical either. Johnjbarton (talk) 20:10, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
