Excessive detail

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia.

Please note that according to WP:ONUS: "The responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content," and so content removed as excessive should not be restored without first reaching a consensus on the discussion page.

Note also that you should not revert edits whose edit summaries include links to protocols you are not completely familiar with (such as "removed honorifics and given names") without clicking on those links to find out what they say.

@UrielAcosta: You have unilaterally deleted content on numerous pages that were contributed by numerous editors simply because you deem to it to be “excessive”. Additionally, you seem to have an appetite for targeting and deleting content from pages devoted to orthodox Jewish notables and subjects. Please demonstrate RESPECT for other editors.ראדומסקערחסיד (talk) 03:51, 5 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Experienced Wikipedia editors understand that new users such as yourself are still learning the basic protocols here, cannot be assumed to know them all, and therefore should not necessarily be held accountable for violating standards they were unaware of- but it is important to know that one of the most basic and important rules is civility. This includes not accusing people of acting in bad faith, such as making a baseless suggestion that another editor is acting out of religious bias.

You can click on the highlighted phrases in the paragraph above for more details about these rules, to avoid further difficulties. UrielAcosta (talk) 22:43, 5 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
