Series vs season

edit

Hi there, I see you've made many edits changing the word Season for TV shows to Series. On English Wikipedia, Seasons refer to each new block of episodes of a show, while Series refers to a show. Please don't make any further edits changing this word, even if that's how it is in your local dialect. Poketama (talk) 09:34, 28 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

That might be how those terms are used in the USA, but not globally. In the UK, a series is a block of episodes of a show and the show itself is called a programme. As long as the changes have only been made to articles where the subject warrants the use of Commonwealth English, I don't think they're particularly problematic. Thanks @Waggers, that's not the case in Australia and the USA so I'd just advise this user to keep it to UK shows. Thank you for the input. Poketama (talk) 03:52, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
