For your amusement

edit

If you haven't already seen it, this might amuse you. Years ago, you undid[1][2][3] some removals[4][5][6] of a sourced DOB from a BLP - but it all turned out well. NebY (talk) 18:41, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

No, I hadn't seen that; thank you. I like Simon Tedeschi a lot, and most recently saw him with John Bell, whom I also like a lot, in a stage reading of some Mozart letters. They both are magnificent in their field, and wonderful people. As for his Guardian column: I hope I haven't upset him too much, but Wikipedia has some rules, no?😀 Another thing that turned out well was that he replaced my horrible mugshots of him, since deleted, with a better picture. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:01, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Really confused by reversion

edit

Apologies- " restore link to nl:Symfonie nr. 4 (Rangström); fix CS1 errors; MOS:DASH; German WP is not a valid source; use {{IMSLP}} for IMSLP" - what? :) ELSchissel (talk) 15:22, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

It would help if you included a link to the article concerned. I suspect you mean this edit at List of symphonies in D minor. I don't understand your confusion. You removed an interlanguage link, and I didn't see why, so I restored it. I then made some further changes that I documented in the edit summary. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 15:33, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your reversion removed the nl Wikipedia link I added to Symphony 4 (Rangström). I don't recall removing anything. But maybe I'm wrong, I'll check... ELSchissel (talk) 15:37, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Near as I can tell, looking at the edit, you or someone also replaced a number of n-dashes with m-dashes for ranges, which I think is quite the stylistic solecism, but that's another matter... though it is weird that a reversion of a small edit (in which I added one wikilink) had a rather large consequence like that. ELSchissel (talk) 15:45, 20 July 2024 (UTC) (edit: ah, I see- it says revert, then fix cs1 errors, then, etc.)Reply
(ec x2) Now it's my turn to apologise: Your're right. I misread the diff and will restore your edit in a minute. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 15:49, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
no worries. Thanks. ELSchissel (talk) 15:50, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
