James Clark

edit

Thanks for creating James Clark (Bible Christian)'s article. Having looked at the LCS photograph [1] there is only one other person that would qualify for a Wikipedia article. Peter Foxcroft [2], [3] [4] Psychologist Guy (talk) 20:21, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the suggestion. I've made a start on his article here: Peter Foxcroft Throughthemind (talk) 21:09, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Nice work, there is a list of early vice president of the Vegetarian Society here [5]. We have covered most of them. Sadly some will not qualify for an article. I believe at some point it would be worth updating the Vegetarian Society Wikipedia article with notable members. Psychologist Guy (talk) 14:36, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am looking over the 1886 list of vice-presidents [6]:

I will look up those who do not have articles. Lady Mount-Temple might be Georgina Cowper-Temple, Lady Mount Temple? Psychologist Guy (talk) 16:44, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

In regard to Rev W. J. Monk, we do have a photograph [7]. He died in 1896, I will try and locate some other information. Psychologist Guy (talk) 16:54, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Nice, I'll see what I can do. William Harvey[1] would also qualify for a an article as he served as president of the society. Throughthemind (talk) 18:32, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I wonder if a navigational box for the Vegetarian Society, like this would be be good. Throughthemind (talk) 18:41, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes a navigational box for the VS is a good idea. I have created a section for the presidents on the article [8]. A lot of the presidents are missing and need to be added. One contradictory piece of information I have found is W. A. Sibly (William Arthur Sibly), born 14 May 1883 died September 20th, 1959 is listed in Whos Who as being the President of the Vegetarian Society from 1938, however this couldn't have been correct because Peter Freeman (politician) was the President during this time. There is some information about Sibly here [9] Psychologist Guy (talk) 22:00, 20 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Maxwell Lee (1931-2005) was a President of the Vegetarian Society but I do not know the exact dates. There is an obituary of him here [10], [11]. After this, the President was probably Paul McCartney. It's odd that nobody on the internet has ever tried to compile an accurate list of the Presidents until myself doing it now. The VC no longer has a President. Psychologist Guy (talk) 00:27, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
