Draft:Dragon Ball Daima

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dragon Ball Daima is an upcoming Japanese anime series premiering some time in 2024. It is being overseen by series creator Akira Toriyama, it is also the last Dragon Ball anime with Toriyama's involvement before his death. It is part of the Dragon Ball media franchise, and takes place during an unknown time during the wider Dragon Ball story. In Dragon Ball DAIMA, an unknown series of events leads to the main cast of the series turning into smaller versions of themselves[1], most likely children. Comparisons have been made to the 1996 sequel series to Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT due to the series transforming the protagonist Son Goku into a smaller version of himself[2]. The series was first officially revealed with a trailer at New York Comic-Con 2023, at a Dragon Ball Special Panel.[3] Toriyama claims to have had much more involvement in this project than he usually does for Dragon Ball's anime adaptations.[1]
