Steven Robert Duncan (Born May 1st, 1998) Is an American Quarterback for the Madrid Bravos of the European League of Football. He played for Western Kentucky University (FBS) from 2016 until 2019, Due to a Medical Redshirt in 2019 and Covid in 2020 Duncan was allowed two extra years of eligibility. In 2020 Duncan transferred to Tarleton State and helped Tarleton State transition from Division II to FCS and the Western Athletic Conference. In 2022 Duncan Played for The University of Incarnate Word helping them win the Southland Conference and to the Semi-Finals of the FCS playoffs.

Early Life: Steven was born in Greenville, SC, and moved during his childhood to Summerville, SC. Steven attended Ashley Ridge High School in Summerville, where he played QB for 4 years starting 3 years on Varsity. He was a three-time all-state QB, three-time, first-team all-region, and 2014 Region Champion. Steven holds the Record at Ashley Ridge for Most TD thrown in a game (6), Most Career TD passes, Most Career passing yards, and Most TD passes in a Season. He ranks sixth all-time in career completions for the state of SC. Steven was the first ever football player from Ashley Ridge to sign a football scholarship and play at the FBS level.

College Career: Attended and played for Western Kentucky University from 2016 to 2019. In 2016 Steven was a Redshirt Freshman and part of the 2016 C-USA Championship and Boca Raton Bowl Championship Team. In 2017 Steven played in one game completing 2-2 passes and WKU played in the Cure Bowl in Orlando Florida. In 2018 Duncan started in five games and appeared in nine total as a redshirt sophomore. He completed 108-of-187 passing attempts (58%) for 1,071 yards and nine touchdowns. He also added 74 rushing attempts for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Duncan threw for over 200 yards on three occasions; 214 yards on Nov. 17 vs. UTEP, 228 yards on Nov. 10 at Florida Atlantic, and a career-high 263 yards on Sept. 29 vs. Marshall. During the 2018 season, Duncan came off the bench to lead Western Kentucky to their first victory. Duncan played the entire second half and led the Hilltoppers to a 28-20 victory after being down 13-7 with 18 minutes remaining. In that game against the Cardinals, he went 12-for-16 (75%) for 94 yards passing and threw a career-high two touchdown passes, while also adding six rushing attempts for a career-high 55 yards, including a long rush of 27 yards. In 2019 Duncan was named the starter for the Hilltoppers beating out Ty Storey who transferred in from The University of Arkansas. In Duncan's first game he passed for a career-high 304 yards completing 67% of his passes, while also passing for 1 TD and Rushing for 1 TD. Duncan started the first three games of the season and was injured in the second half vs Louisville. It was discovered that Duncan played on a broken foot in the second half. Duncan had one of his best games passing for a career-high 3 TD. In the Spring of 2020 Duncan was granted a medical hardship since he only played in 3 games. Duncan graduated from Western Kentucky in the Spring of 2020 and Transferred to Tarleton State University which had just started the transition to FCS and the Western Athletic Conference. The 2020 season for FCS was put on hold due to COVID and was played in the Spring of 2021. Redshirt Junior (2020): Was the starting quarterback for the Texans, playing in seven of their eight games … Threw for 1,542 yards and 11 touchdowns, completing 59.3 percent (127-214) of his throws, adding just three interceptions … Had his best game at Dixie State on March 13, where he completed 23-of-33 (.697) for 347 yards and four touchdowns, both career-high marks at the time … Threw for 200+ yards four times and had two multi-TD games, throwing three touchdowns vs. Midwestern State on March 20 … Went the first five games without an interception … Completed 60+ percent of his passes in four straight games from March 6-27 (79-of-119, .664). Fall (2021): Started all 11 games at quarterback for Tarleton, leading the team to their fifth straight winning season … Completed 188-of-301 (.625) passes for 2,505 yards, 19 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, plus had 121 rushing yards on 44 attempts with a rushing touchdown … Had the fifth-highest completion percentage in a single-season in team history (min. 150 attempts) … Had the tied-13th most touchdown passes in a single-season in team history … Had six multi-TD games … Across the Western Athletic Conference, had the third most completions, the third highest completion percentage, the third most passing yards, and the third most passing touchdowns … Was named to the Phil Steele FCS All-WAC Team … Had his best game against the No. 1 ranked team in the country, Sam Houston, on Oct. 30, throwing for a career-high 403 yards on a 25-of-43 (.581) clip, plus a tied-season-high four touchdowns and no turnovers … His 403 passing yards against Sam Houston was the 11th 400-yard game in team history and the first since Ben Holmes had one in 2019 … Had two four-touchdown games, the second and third such games of his career (Sept. 18 vs. Southern Utah, Oct. 30 vs. Sam Houston) … Had two 300+ yard games (Oct. 30 vs. Sam Houston, Nov. 6 vs. Lamar) … His back-to-back 300+ yard games were the first such streak of his career … Had 105 straight passing attempts without an interception between Oct. 2 and Nov. 6 … In three games between Oct. 16-30, combined for 848 yards on 61-of-96 (.635) passing, nine touchdowns, and zero turnovers … Began the game at Dixie State on Oct. 16 with three 67+ yard touchdown drives on his first three drives … His longest completion was 84 yards to Tariq Bitson on the very first play from scrimmage of the game against New Mexico Highlands on Sept. 25 that went to the Cowboys’ 1-yard line. In the Fall of 2022 Duncan finished his career playing at the University of Incarnate Word helping them win The Southland Conference Championship and into the FCS Semi-finals. Duncan finished his college career with over 6500 yards passing 45 TD and 24 INT, and 326 yards rushing with 6 TD.

Education: Steven Duncan received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in 2020 (B.S. Business Management), and Steven earned Two Master's Degrees from Tarleton State. He holds an MBA earned in 2021 and in 2022 earned a Master's in Marketing and Social Media

Professional Career: In the fall of 2023, Steven signed a professional contract to play for the Dresden Monarch in the German Football League. Duncan was named regular season MVP and led the Monarchs to a 12-2 record and semi-final playoff. Duncan set the record for most passing TDs in a game (9) against the Saarland Hurricanes going 32-36-0 378 9TD. For the season Duncan led the GFL in several categories: Duncan led the GFL in Completions 341, Attempts 503, yards passing 4703, yards per game 336, and TD passes 58 (14 games) In December 2023 Duncan signed with the Wroclaw Panthers, European League of Football. In Duncan's first game, he passed for 4 TD, Ran for 1 TD, and Threw for 230 yards. Duncan was named EFL player of the week during week 1, After week 3 Wroclaw and Duncan parted ways on June 10, 2024. Duncan was immediately signed by the Madrid Bravos on the 10th of June. Duncan practiced for three days and Started his first game on June 15, 2024. Duncan helped lead the Bravos to a 35-24 victory while passing for 300 yards with 1 passing TD and 1 rushing TD.
