Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament.[1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it was first contested at the 2024 general election.[2]
The constituency name refers to the Lincolnshire towns of Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes.[3]
Boundaries[edit]
The constituency composed of the following (as they existed on 1 December 2020):
- The Borough of North East Lincolnshire wards of: Croft Baker; East Marsh; Freshney; Haverstoe; Heneage; Park; Sidney Sussex; South; West Marsh; Yarborough.[4]
It will comprise the following:[5]
- The current Great Grimsby constituency, excluding the Scartho ward
- The town of Cleethorpes from the Cleethorpes constituency (to be abolished, with remaining parts forming the basis of the new constituency of Brigg and Immingham)
To assess impact of the boundary changes various organisation calculated results of 2019 election if it was conducted under boundaries established by 2023 Periodic review. Below is such assessment from BBC for Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
