Lubo Smid (born 1 July 1988, Dvůr Králové nad Labem) is the co-founder and CEO of STRV [cs].[1]

In 2016, the Czech edition of Forbes magazine put Lubo Smid on the list of 30 most important entrepreneurial personalities under 30 years of age.[2]

Lubo Smid supports entrepreneurial talent by participating in various business programs (e.g. Vodafone Napad roku, Y Combinator or YPO Czech).

Early life and education

Lubo Smid obtained a master's degree in Information Management at the University of Hradec Králové in 2012. During his exchange program, he obtained a bachelor's degree from Coventry University and spent half a year at Norwich University.

STRV

In 2012, Lubo Smid joined other co-founders of STRV [cs] – David Semerad, Martin Stava and Pavel Zeifart. He worked as COO until the end of 2017, and was involved in the expansion of the company to the US market, in particular Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. In 2018, he became the new CEO of the software, design and engineering team.[citation needed]

Personal life

Lubo Smid splits his time between Prague and Los Angeles. Apart from hosting countless STRV events, welcoming prominent founders to his podcast and sharing his journey via social media, you can find him on some crazy adventure, cycling or skiing way off the beaten path.[citation needed]
