Oliver Webber (born 26 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for National League club Woking. Born in England, he represented Northern Ireland at youth international level.

Club career

Born in Portsmouth,[1] Webber spent his early career with Northern Irish clubs Ards Rangers and Glentoran.[2] He joined Crystal Palace in 2016.[3] Webber also spent time on loan at Isthmian League sides Whyteleafe and Greenwich Borough during the 2018–19 campaign.[4][5] He turned professional with Palace in May 2019,[6] extending the contract in July 2020.[7]

After a loan spell with Dover Athletic in January 2021,[8] he signed for Portsmouth in January 2022.[3][9]

He returned to Glentoran in July 2022.[10][11] Webber was described as a "hero" after saving two penalties in the County Antrim Shield in September 2023,[12][13] and first choice goalkeeper Aaron McCarey said that Webber deserved his chance in the first-team.[14]

On 7 May 2024, it was announced that Webber would be one of ten players departing Glentoran upon the expiry of their contracts.[15]

On 14 August 2024, having impressed with the club on trial, Webber signed for National League side Woking.[16]

International career

Webber is a Northern Ireland under-21 youth international,[1][17] having previously played at under-17 and under-19 levels.[18]
