Rudrol is a village in the Charkhi Dadri district of the Indian state of Haryana. Before 2016, it was part of Bhiwani district,[1] but after 2016 Charkhi Dadri became a new district, and it became part of Charkhi Dadri. It is situated 24.9 km away from district headquarter, Charkhi Dadri, and 53.3 km. away from Bhiwani. As per 2009 stats, Rudrol village is also a gram panchayat.

Location and weather[edit]

Rudrol comes under the Badhra tehsil of Charkhi Dadri district. It lies about 5 kilometres from the Badhwana road at Dadri-Narnaul road. The district headquarter is Charkhi Dadri. The tehsil centre, Badhra, and the semi-urbanised area Jhojhu are at a distance of about 26.5, 17.6 and 9.5 km respectively. The land is desert-like. It is extremely hot in summer and experiences reverse conditions in winters.

Rudrol is known for its ancient haveli built by Chaudhary Shyolal Bijarniya[2]

Demographics[edit]

As of the 2011 Census of India, the village had a total population of 1,992, of which 1,043 are male and 949 are female. The literacy rate is 72.99%; 83.41% of males and 61.54% of females are literate. There are about 380 houses in Rudrol village.

The majority population of the population of the village are Jats. About 60% of the population consists of Bijarniya Jats.[2] Other community are Brahman, OBC,SC. The Bijarniyas were not original inhabitants of this land. They travelled to the village from the Jakhod village of Rajasthan.

Most people in Rudrol belong to ancestral farming. However, many people have government jobs. Most of the village's male population are either serving or retired army personnel or doctors.

It is also known for the tall people. The inhabitants are tall and strong in comparison to the people its neighboring villages. Some people, like Sardara Ram Bijarniya (1928–2023) and Shyolal Bijarniya,[2] were 6 feet 5 inch tall. Like them, 10-15% people have a height more than 6 feet, and around 40-45% people of village has height more than 5 feet 6 inches.[citation needed]

Facilities[edit]

The village has a power station, park, play ground, stadium, and government high school. The electricity is supplied in the village for 12 hours in summer and 11 hours in winter.
