Russell Robinson (born June 27, 2001) is an American triple jumper. He placed second in the 2024 US Olympic trials.[1]

Early life

He attended West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida where he was state high school champion for the long jump, prior to attending the University of Miami.[2][3]

Career

He won gold in the NACAC U23 Championships triple jump competition in San Jose, Costa Rica in July 2023.[4]

He won the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, Massachusetts in March 2024.[5] He was runner-up at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon in June 2024, where he set a University of Miami school record of 17.13 metres.[6]

He placed second at the 2024 United States Olympic trials in Eugene, Oregon on June 30, 2024. He had been the top qualifier for the final, recording a personal best distance of 17.28 metres.[7][8]
