Canada's population was only ~150,000 in 1775, so the statement that ~110,000 left in the following 20 years is extraordinary and needs support (which would be readily available for such a significant exodus). The statement about loyalist migration is an assumption the author has made, there is no reference to support the statement. There are registers of historical loyalists but modern descendants are not tracked so this is obviously false.
