Steven Sanfield (born August 3, 1937 – January 28, 2015) was an American poet, children's book author, and Freedom Rider.[1][2] He published over 30 books during his lifetime.[3] The University of California Davis library holds a collection of his writings.[4]

Biography

He earned a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

He took part in the Los Angeles to Houston Freedom Ride.
