Merge?

[edit]

What happened to the merge to National Rugby League season 2008? Florrieleave a note 14:36, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ITN

Not encyclopedic language

[edit]

"a mouth-watering semi-final encounter" "capping the fairytale" "broke the back of the Melbourne resistance" "a closer affair" etc —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.172.80.154 (talk) 22:32, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a copyvio, it's from one of the references -- Tim Starling (talk) 03:01, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was in a rush to get this on the Main Page, I'll be fixing the wording and adding more detail to it tonight. My apologies. - c4v3m4n (talk · contribs) 03:29, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like someone was kind enough to edit the language within the article. C4v3m4n (talk) 09:09, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

Looks like we need heaps of citations! Anyone care to help? C4v3m4n (talk) 09:09, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, whoever inserts random requests to cite uncontroversial facts could instead help by doing it themselves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.223.90 (talk) 08:24, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Labouring the point

[edit]

This whole article labours the point, other than the match statistics and who the TV announcers were (really!!!) there's nothing here that isn't said far more succinctly here. The section on the lead-up doesn't belong here, that's about the season. -Sticks66 11:59, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I still think this needs to be merged (and trimmed - actually this is about all that is needed) as was decided earlier with other Grand Final articles. Florrieleave a note 13:28, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
