Photo cruft conveying little information

[edit]
Abandoned or just parked? Who knows?
Abandoned? Or sitting on the property of a "collector"? I might resemble such hoarders.

What's with all the photos on this page? What are they telling us? How do we know that one rusty car is "abandoned" while another nice looking car is not abandoned? Sadly, Wikipedia does have an article on the topic of Decrepit car and if a car is rusty and dirty, it really belongs there. The condition doesn't determine that it's "abandoned". The two AfD discussions on this have focused on the existence of the topic of legal codes regarding abandoned vehicles, the processes a jurisdiction may have for removing nuisance cars. Which includes fancy new cars that someone parked and abandoned for whatever reason.

Probably best to remove the "decrepit car" photos and keep the focus on why this article supposedly exists. A car being ticketed and/or towed away as abandoned is probably the best illustration. Illustrations of impound lots and car auctions are more relevant than artsy rusty car photos. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 18:43, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
