Adrian SchoolcraftNYPD Tapes — Adrian is known for only this one thing; see WP:BLP1E. 72.152.156.18 (talk) 18:52, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Tentative Disagree I'm not sure about this yet, but much of the story is about him, his taping, his being locked up, his lawsuit, etc. Also, as for the NYPD part of it, it may have started being about quotas, but the downgrading of big crimes like sexual assault and trumped up charges for others seems more important. ★NealMcB★ (talk) 06:14, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strongly Disagree The BLP states: "If reliable sources cover the person only in the context of a single event, and if that person otherwise remains, or is likely to remain, a low-profile individual. Getting featured on TAL, Village Voice, and repeated mentions of the huffington report don't qualify as low profile. I supposed you'd also bounce information about Frank Serpico? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.223.57.172 (talk) 19:29, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree for the reasons given by other users above. The new proposed page name "NYPD tapes" doesn't sound right, and the alternative more specific page names sound rather long-winded. Seems simpler and cleaner to leave things as they are. Asteuartw (talk) 15:55, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Former officer" vs "suspended" from the NYPD?

[edit]

Someone changed his title to "former officer", but last I heard he was only "suspended". ★NealMcB★ (talk) 06:16, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How about we use the title "American hero", fits better.  ;) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.213.14 (talk) 15:01, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
According to the book of Anal-Retentive Wikipediology for the Anal-Retentive Wikipedian, you need 8 internet citations that can be verified to claims of hero. Though I agree dude is a hero. 71.232.119.93 (talk) 17:08, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

I don't really want to just make changes to such a, potentially controversial, article but there is new info on this case coming out of The Village Voice and Gawker: http://www.villagevoice.com/2012-03-07/news/the-nypd-tapes-confirmed/ , http://gawker.com/5892115/nypd-officer-sent-to-psych-ward-by-superiors-after-reporting-corruption . I figured I'd post those links here and let someone else decide how to add them to the existing article. Colecoman1982 (talk) 23:26, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
