Manipulation web link.

[edit]

I have once again removed this link. It does not have any educational value as you claim, and even the site says it is not relevent to the public. Manipulating the computer reservation system will not result in lower seat price as airline can (and do) issue an agency debit memo for the difference if it is found out. Fares booking codes are always listed with the fare details, merely being able to book in another booking code does not mean that you are able to use them with impunity. I also was a travel agent for years, so I know how this system works.--Dmol (talk) 19:42, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just at an afterthought, I think there is sufficient information to make an entire article about different ways to manipulate fares. Things like cross-boarder ticketing, back-to-back tickets, returns used as one way tickets, and the computer code thing you described. It could either go in to something about airfares, or become its own article.--Dmol (talk) 20:28, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

sounds good to me. Mion (talk) 20:55, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article relates just one part of the business done by the Amadeus IT Group, for which a page already exists. I think this article should disappear in favour of the article Amadeus IT Group. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.163.168.188 (talk) 20:22, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd oppose such a move. We have separate articles for Galileo and its parent company, and the same should apply here.--Dmol (talk) 10:52, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

What is that supposed to point to? Currently you end up at a disambiguation page with no obvious related entries. --Kristian 20:32, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I can't even find what it is supposed to point to. I'm going to remove it and let someone else complain and explain. — Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsign ät mitt bajs
