Geographical confusion

This sentence appears in the article, but as a card-carrying land-lubber, I'm sure 'HMAS' is wrong. Portland is on the southern English coast; thus it should be "HMS", or is there also a 'Portland' in Australia? RASAM (talk) 15:02, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
