Arrow's actual age?

[edit]

I placed the citation request beside Arrow's purported birth date in good faith, to reflect what appears to be a discrepancy regarding his claimed year of birth. Over the past 24 hours there have been at least three different birth years being offered in the media (see below). The year that is currently cited in the article seems to be solely dependent on information available on what appears to be a self published website linked at the bottom of the article[1]. Until a definitively reliable source is made available, in my opinion it seems reasonable under the circumstances that a reader be given a 'heads up' to a potentially inaccurate date.

Thompson (already cited - the whole lede was sourced to Thompson before the date of death was added) states dob of 16 November 1954. I think this may be a case where we have to pick the most likely DoB and add a footnote to indicate that other sources state different dates. The Jamaica Gleaner has another alternative, stating that he died at 59, so that's at least 4 alternatives thus far.--Michig (talk) 18:39, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As it's well known that some folks like to hide their age, I suggest to wait with the actual date of birth until the Government of Montserrat, who claim he been 60, and The Montserrat Reporter publish an obituary. That way we avoid changing the date of birth all the time. Joerg, the BajanZindy (talk) 22:26, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
