Standing Jumps?

[edit]

According to the wiki entry on the 1900 summer Olympics the Standing High Jump did not begin until the 1900 Olympics. But there is clear video footage on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL-3V71KSC8&t=74s) of the 1896 Olympics (you can see it is the Athens stadium) where people are doing Standing High Jump. In this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJpxGWi-Otw) Ellery Clark's son refers to him winning the Running High Jump. Were the standing events there but not recorded..?
