ercetin / erçetin

[edit]

This article should be moved to "Aykut Erçetin". See the articles of Hamit Altıntop and Yıldıray Baştürk for example. --Ecgecg (talk) 20:32, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What should certainly NOT happen is that the article should be moved without discussion. Consensus, not precedent, is the proper mode of decision making in Wikipedia, and I would refer you to this discussion. Kevin McE (talk) 14:32, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see, but he did play in the national team and he is Turkish. --Ecgecg (talk) 08:51, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But I doubt he changed his name. He is also German. Now that you mention it, Altintop and Basturk should be changed too if no evidence can be found. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 23:16, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
They all have Turkish citizenships (and as they've all played in Turkish National team, Turkey is their first nation) and I'm pretty sure their names are written as "Hamit Altıntop", "Yıldıray Baştürk", "Aykut Erçetin"... in their Turkish ID Cards. Impossible to prove, though. But do as you want. I'm tired of this discussion. --ecgecg (talk) 08:36, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Impossible to prove, exactly. You started the discussion so I don't know why you would be tired of it already. Hubschrauber729 (talk) 22:20, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

League Cup Controversy

[edit]

What is the League Cup that Aykut Erçetin played? Was there any other cup apart from Turkish Cup in early 2000s in Turkey? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mozkan27 (talkcontribs) 12:43, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
