Relevancy of angvani.com????

[edit]

In extrernal link as well as in body of the article it is irrelevant to mention angvani.com.

Fixed it. --GDibyendu (talk) 17:49, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

www.angvani.com, The First Online Newspaper of Bhagalpur since 1997.

Yes, Why www.angvani.com should not be there? Its an online newspaper of Bhagalpur like any other newspaper. If there cud be Hindustan or dainik jagran, why cant angvani? Its just some strange kind of people who keep removing it from here. If the moderator belives it should not be there, he must come up with proper logic before removing .... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.161.2.177 (talk) 18:44, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Scholars of great eminence

[edit]

Why don't you give more in this page. Many scholars of great eminence have passed from this place. You have to do research to find them out and get place for them. Secondly, may important rulers of ancient India has visited this place and contributed in some way or the other. So, please mention those events too. I know that if you start writing about Bhagalpur, it will be an unending exercise, but atleast put mention of the things.

Bhagalpur riots

[edit]

Shouldn't this page have some info abt the Bhagalpur riots? I'd wait for sometime for others to add the info to the article as I do not know much about the riots myself. --Gurubrahma 06:37, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I do agree. The communal riots which engulfed Bhaglapur and the adjoining areas during/ around September-October, or perhaps few weeks earlier, were really bad. By the way, I was not there exactly during those bad days (and nights), but had worked in the city from the last week of December 1989 until June 1993, before shifting to Gaya, Bihar. Please add something about those riots. --Bhadani 09:21, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

this is good that people want to know the history of bhagalpur. but bhagalpur has many other things and stories to tell other than riots. why only show the ugly face of riots and stamp it as the history of bhagalpur? should it be known only for this? bhagalpur has the history of its residents too. The people who have studied in the TNB and Law colleges of Bhagalpur and have made into successful people and politicians, the Rabindra Bhawan and the unique JEWS' Cemetry near Parbatti in bhagalpur ! why dont you people add that too ? - --61.0.180.223 17:56, 12 November 2006 (UTC)daman tiwari[reply]

What's with the 'example images' and captions? Might get rid of them, looks a bit messy Cls14 (talk) 09:23, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tomb or shrine or Mazar of Badar Al din Auliya.

[edit]

Badar Al din Auliya in 14 th century AD was in Chittagong . he light lamp or Chati in a gaon means place. The name Chittagong is out of it. His birth place is Meerut in uttar Pradesh. He died in Bihar and Dargah name is chutta Dargah. Questions are where and which particular geographical name it is known and what is his father and mother name. He was a reputed saint in eastern Bengal and his particular should be in his detail history in Wikipedia. Shafiqur Mazumdar (talk) 13:10, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There does not seem to be any clear reason why this article needs to be separate from the main city article. Similar to the Bihar Sharif article, there is not a lot of unique information here. Paradoxsociety 08:45, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation serves the Third largest city of Bihar with a population of half a million. It is a notable civic body. The article should cover the election history and major work done by it. Venkat TL (talk) 11:50, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
