proposal to delete certain sentences

[edit]

I propose to delete the sentences within quote marks from this article as they are sordid and inappropriate to a biography. These lines also have nothing to do with Candice Bergen. A prior home address does not belong in a bio. "Bergen and former boyfriend Terry Melcher lived at 10050 Cielo Drive in Los Angeles, which was later occupied by Sharon Tate and her husband, Roman Polanski. Tate and four others were murdered in the house on August 9, 1969, by members of the Manson Family.[41] Some speculated initially that Melcher was the intended victim,[42] but Melcher, Melcher's former roommate Mark Lindsay, and Vincent Bugliosi have all indicated that Manson knew Melcher didn't live there at the time of the murders.[43][44]"

Are there any objections? Skywriter (talk) 20:51, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was just reading about Doris Day, followed to Terry Melcher, then to here. It seems inappropriate to me to not mention this at all, given that to this day it is debated as to whether Melcher (and thus Bergen) might even have been targets of the attack. Seeing no objections, I will delete the above lines. Skywriter (talk) 18:36, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
