Birthdate

[edit]

I'm not sure where her date of birth comes from, but the edit that changed it to 1087 can't be correct - Philip and Bertrade weren't married until 1092 (and Bertrade was famously still married to Fulk of Anjou at the time), so she obviously can't have been born before that. She also had two older brothers, so 1097 seems reasonable. Yeah, that does mean she was married at 9 (and widowed and married again at 15), but that's actually not extremely unusual. She didn't have any children until she was 18, which sounds about right. (If all this had happened when she was 19, 25, and 28, that would actually be stranger.)
