Merge

[edit]

It's better to put this into horned gopher than vice-versa, I think, because Ceratogaulus wasn't the only species thereof. DS 15:31, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Although it discusses other mylagaulids, the article cited in both pages indicates that only the genus Ceratogaulus (including Epigaulus) was truly horned. I think the two pages are completely synonymous and I'm completely neutral as to the direction of the merge. What other species are you referring to? --Aranae 18:26, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Remerge

[edit]

I've transferred "Horned Gopher" back to Ceratogaulus, as people are more likely to refer to the scientific name of a fossil species, rather than the common name, mostly as very few fossil species actually have common names that are commonly used.--Mr Fink 20:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I said above, I am neutral on where the article is housed. Any move must, however, be done properly. Your "move" was a cut and paste job and the edit history is lost. If you want to move the horned gopher page to Ceratogaulus, please "move" it. --Aranae 22:05, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
