Probs with "Development"

[edit]

Under the "Development" section, the picture caption says "A rear-view of a C6.R, showing the air conditioner exhaust fan located in the center of the bodywork." The text refers to "a large suction fan to the rear of the car." The picture shows the rear diffuser, but I can't see anything that would be an "air conditioner exhaust fan." Is there such a thing on this car? I can't find any info on this from Google other than quotes from an engineer (Corvette Racing Engineering Director Doug Louth) to the effect that the car has the stock A/C plus some ducting. I'm changing the picture caption so it doesn't lead to confusion that the diffuser is an A/C exhaust fan. If someone has a source for more specific information, please make the necessary corrections.

After some further investigation, it seems the entire Development section is lifted word-for-word from http://realcollector.blogspot.com/2009/03/corvette-c6r.html and has been that way since the start, unless that site copied from a different article on Wiki. I don't have time to look into this deeper, but it might be a copyright issue.--Almitydave (talk) 22:16, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correction: the WP article predates that website. I was not looking at the earliest version. --Almitydave (talk) 22:21, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
