Page is full of trivia and minutia

[edit]

Wikipedia pages should not be written as advertisements and personal websites. This page was filled to the brim of mundane and poorly sourced details. I tried to trim content that is of zero interest to any reader and is usually badly sourced[1]. This content does not belong on this page. I mean, there's literally a blockquote self-authored synopsis about his book. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 17:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that a lot of this is far too much. The comments from the "Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce 50th annual dinner in April 2016" and the dust-jacket-type book summaries doesn't seem encyclopedic. Neutralitytalk 19:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not laid off

[edit]

According to the New York Times and Washington Post, he was fired, not laid off. The article here currently states "laid off". A4M2 Alaska4Me2 (talk) 14:51, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV

[edit]

This article reads like a "soapbox". While the Arizona call (barely) turned out to be correct, Ohio went to Trump by a much bigger margin, and Ohio was not called first. So, we cannot say that "calling Arizona early" was correct but "not calling Ohio early" was not. Indeed, the facts support that it was the other way around.

Also, I agree that there is too much trivial "minutiae" in this article. It needs to be pared and summarized.Ryoung122 03:52, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Stirewalt - Needs Updating based on new Washington Post reporting.

[edit]

The article cites Rupert Murdoch saying Stirewalt was fired for his demeanor and not because he called Arizona for Biden before the other networks, a call that alienated both Trump and Fox viewers.

However, a Washington Post article today has evidence that Murdoch did fire Mr. Stirewalt for making the election call and lied when he announced the reason.

Please add this. It's not fair to leave it out there that Mr. Stirewalt was fired for cause when he was actually fired for doing his job right.
