I am about to delete or modify some dubious or wrong statements about the Coligny calendar:

1) "(The Coligny calendar) is unlike any other in the world": if taken literaly, this statement is simply meaningless (no two calendars are identical); if taken less literaly, it is wrong, as the Coligny calendar is just another luni-solar calendar, similar to the Hebrew, Chinese and many other calendars.

2) "The almanac..." is not al almanac, but a calendar...

3) "(The Coligny calendar) is the longest-surviving Gaulish inscription". As far as I know, this is plain wrong: Gaulish inscription in the Etruscan alphabet from Northern Italy and in the Greek Alphabet from France are certainly older than the Coligny calendar. If the original author thinks his/her statement is correct, please provide citations to support it.

3) "(The Coligny calendar) has been key in the undertanding of the language of the Gauls": I think this is exhaggerated. The Coligny calendar supplied our knowledge of the names of Gaulish months, and other interesting words such as "lucky" and "unlucky", but it didn't contribute anything interesting about, e.g., grammar.
