3-D process

[edit]

Other than my own experience back in 1981 and following, I have no sources to cite for the following entries, and therefore am placing them here in the interim, anticipating either finding supporting data or eventually adding it despite the lack of data.

The screen for this movie was a dual-layer screen with a semi-opaque (temporary) screen stationed a few feet in front of the theatre's permanent screen, much like cheese cloth or gauze.

This marks the first movie using polarization rather than anaglyph.

Later polarized movies did not need the dual layer screen.
