Merge?

[edit]

I propose merging to Interstate 10 in Arizona. — PCB 15:02, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll support as it is today. Needs some references, though. –Fredddie 00:37, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Support as well, with no prejudice against recreation if an appropriate article can be fashioned. (If references appropriately, the current article should not be merged; if merged, a lot of the content needs to be eliminated from the merger because it is unreferenced.) • Support - Information can easily be covered in I-10 in AZ. Dough4872 01:35, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - based on the content that is currently in this article yeah delete. However, I'm vaguely familiar with the history of freeways in the Phoenix area and I can definitely vouch that this tunnel deserves an article. There's a lot of history not covered in the article. This tunnel was a result of a freeway revolt that rivals any other. For at least 15 years (if not more) I-10 was discontinuous through Phoenix with the first 10 miles of I-17 serving as a detour, prior to the construction of this tunnel. There are even pics out there on roadgeek sites of I-17 being signed "I-17 to I-10", to detour around the phoenix gap that was fixed when this tunnel was finally finished.
